Squats Bar x 10 60x5 80x5 100x3 120x2 140x1 160x1 175 easy opener 190 just as easy as 175. Left it there gonna do bit of light bench and deads tomorrow then rest. Happy with how the prep is going. Can't wait to eat some dirty food next weekend. | ||

Bar x 10 60x5 80x5 100x1 110x1 122.5x1 132.5x1 137.5x2 paused on both reps. Deadlift 70x5 110x3 150x2 170x1 190x2 planned opener. Happy with tonight doubled both openers very comfortabley without too much effort. 190 is a very easy opener on deads but hopefully save some energy for a big 3rd pull. | ||

Had to cut about 3kg in a week which is most iv ever cut so felt awful and dehydrated waking up Saturday morning. However I weighed 73.8kg so I was on weight. Arrived at the venue which was a nice place very well organised and weighed in at 73.25kg after refuelling and some mobilty and stretching stuff. Went into the warm up room. Didn't feel great in the warm up room very shaky I think due to weight cut but warmed up squats to 150kg only to find out our group was split in 2 meaning I had about another 45 mins till my opening squat. Started warm up over : 100x3 130x1 145x1 after this rep got massive cramp in my lower quad everytime I flexed my knee After massage and stetching put my belt on 165x1 Squats 175 good lift 3 whites nice and fast 190 good lift 3whiyes felt heavier than it should be (grinder) 200 fail heavy as f**k. Not too bad wanted 200 but with the way 190 felt knew it wasn't there today. Bench warm ups Bar x 10 60x5 80x5 100x1 110x1 122.5x1 132.5x1 Warm ups felt good and fast. Bench 137.5 good lift 3 whites flew up 147.5 fail gutted no explanation 147.5 fail better attempt but no power This really messed with my head and left me feeling really flat going into deads. Deads warm up Felt like s**t 70x5 110x2 135x1 155x1 175x1 All reps were suprisingly fast Deadlift 190 fail too easy I shouldn't have opened with this I nearly cleaned it, the bar moved that quick to lock out I went up on my toes hence the fail. 210 good lift 2 whites 1 red should have opened with this got a red for letting go of the bar to soon on way down. 230 fail got stuck very close to lock out. 537.5kg total 7.5kg more than at the worlds in Russia but that was not good powerlifting only made 4 out of 9 lifts very scrappy. Happy with a comp pb total but I'm disappointed cause there is so much more there. 8 weeks now till British classic one positive is I now have a better idea what areas need work. | ||

I am not disheartened and I didn't mean that to sound in that way all I really meant was my body didn't feel the way It normally does in training and past competitions and it messed with my head a little bit. Head down time now though and hopefully post a good total at the classic will be good to catch up again Paul. An cheers for the kind words mate. | ||

Bench press Bar x 10 60x5 80x5 100x1 120x1 130x1 140x1 All done with a long pause. 125x5 for 3 sets touch and go. These felt heavy but I expected this after the weekend start of a new block of training on the bench as I've neglected it a bit after Russia. Semi-sumo deads. 60x5 100x2 140x1 175x3 for 4 sets Speed sumos 150x3 for 5 sets Sumo starting to take over my s**t conventional I think maybe its time for a change to the darkside. Dips Bw x 10 for 3 sets. | ||

High bar Squats 100x3 120x3 140x3 150x3 for 2 sets. pb 160x2 massive pb. Well impressed with my high bar squatting first time I've done these heavy in a while and they felt great. Also gave my bicep tendonitis a rest which is really bad at the moment. | ||

Really focussed on bringing my hips lower and keeping them down as much as possible as my deads come off the floor like a rocket then hit a brick wall just past my knee. Felt slow off the bottom but there was a definite improvement on my lockout. If anyone as any tips for this they would be greatly appreciated? SLDL 160x5 160x5 160x5 Rack pulls 100x2 140x2 180x2 220x2 Stopped there as biceps tendon was in pieces so thought was best to leave it. High bar squats 140x8 pb wanted 10 but form was going. Video to follow. Wide stance box squat. 100x5 120x5 140x5 All with 3 sec pause on box. Enjoyable session loving squatting at the moment, just wish my legs felt the same. | ||

Squats Bar x 10 60x5 80x5 100x3 120x2 140x2 160x2 for 6 sets All warm up sets done beltless and high bar. Working sets were done with 2mins recovery and felt very fast. High bar squats. 140x10 pb had to grind the f**k out of the last rep. Now back to the kitchen. | ||
