Sacked it off after a few warm up sets. Will hit some deads on Thursday. Bench Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 Paused singles 100 110 120 130 140 All comfortable Wide grip bench press 120x1 130x1 140xf Felt like trying a wide grip as my normal bench is quite narrow. Felt horrible so the experiment didn't last long. Narrow grip bench 100x5 110x5 120x1 130x1 Last rep and all singles paused. Pushdowns 2 sets of 10 reps 2 sets of 5 reps. Not a bad session just felt a bit drained from the squats yesterday. My fault for having a week off. | ||

But by the last 3 sets I was flying again. Deadlift 70x5 100x2 125x2 155x1 180x1 205x4 t+g These felt nice and comfortable was meant to do 2 sets of 4 but just felt my trap again so stopped nothing to worry about just being safe with British coming up. Wide pull ups 5 sets of 10 bodyweight | ||

Decided to rep out at 100kg see how many I could get. Got talked into it. 100x17 reps Weighted Dips 20kgx5 40kgx5 60kgx5 Got talked into repping out on bodyweight dips also. Bodyweight x 32 reps. First time my arms have felt pumped in years. Enjoyable session today. | ||

All felt nice and easy. Deadlifts 60x5 100x3 140x2 180x1 205x1 Quick run through on deads as was running out of time all very comfortable. | ||

Bench Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x1 110x1 120x1 130x1 Put wrists wraps and belt on. 140xf Felt awful so took wraps and belt off 140x1 real easy 150x1 All reps after 80kg paused. 120x10 touch and go suprised how easy this felt. Seated row 5 sets of 5 Face pulls 5 sets of 10 Happy with today 150 paused went up pretty comfortable. Happier now with my bench. | ||

Cheers Jim yeah I agree mate just think my wraps were stopping me gripping the bar tight makes a big difference to me. Todays session 29/9/13 Squats Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x3 130x2 150x2 170x1 190x2 for 3 sets. Happy with these. I wanted 3's but happy with how these felt I was just being greedy. High bar pause squats (beltless) 100x5 for 5 sets. All reps held at bottom for 5 seconds. Finished head ready to explode. | ||

Bent over row. 70x5 for 5 sets. Well happy best my deadlifts have ever felt. | ||

Feel tired today starting to slow the work down now and just go through my warm ups and openers. High bar squats 100x1 130x1 150x5 Left it there as back was feeling tight from yesterdays deadlifts. | ||

Bench Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x1 115x1 125x1 Comp pauses with referees signals 135 142.5 147.5 fail very close this will come up on the day with a bit of rest. 135x2 both reps paused Happy with today bench has been up and down of late but to say I've been up since 445am was pleased with how tonights session went. | ||

Bodyweight for the last 2 days has been 74.0kg bang on. Squats Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x3 130x2 150x1 170x1 180x2 Bench Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x1 110x1 120x1 130x1 135x2 all reps paused. Happy with today squats were fast as f**k. Bench was a grind but only went heavy 2 days ago so not too worried. | ||

Bodyweight was also fine so good in fact I allowed myself a big bowl of pasta the night before. Woke up on the morning weighing 73.2kg so had a bowl of porridge and protein shake and set of to horncastle. Got weighed in made weight easily weighing 72.7kg lightest I've ever weighed in at. Refuelled and did sone mobilty drills etc. Squat warm up Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x3 130x2 150x1 170x1 Warm ups felt fast and fluid no problems back was a little tight but no worse than usual. Lift 1 180kg 3 white lights absolutely shot up. Lift 2 190kg failed 2 to 1 on depth. Felt so easy coming up but knew that I had cut it short on the way down. Think I got nervous and came up too early. Lift 3 192.5kg fail. Dropped this extra low as I was worried about depth but cause I dropped it so low no power in the hole. Really disappointed with this as squats were going so good in training and this is the first time I've ever been failed for depth. Bench press Warmups Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x2 110x1 120x1 130x1 Lift 1 135kg 3whites easy opener ridiculous pause at bottom longest I've ever experienced. Lift 2 142.5kg fail. Held down again for at least a 5 count ruined my explosivness off my chest. Lift 3 142.5kg 3 whites good lift. After a great pep talk from Paul cooper absolutely blasted this off my chest. Finished not too bad on bench but know I'm capable on a good day of 150+ which will come once I put everything together. Deadlifts. Warmup. 60x5 100x3 140x1 170x1 190x1 Lift 1 205kg 3 whites very comfortable but as I. locked out felt my trap and pec both pulling badly. Went to my bag and covered the area in deep heat Lift 2 215kg 3 whites easy. No problem with trap or pec. Lift 3 230kg fail. Soon as I started the lift felt like my pec was gonna tear so put it straight back down. Gutted as I honestly think I could have pulled 230. Total = 537. 5 kg. 2nd place in the 74 seniors and an equal pb total so not too bad but if things had of gone my way could have been a lot more. Great weekend enjoyed every minute of it. Highlights include tom martins 350kg deadlift, coaching my mate Rich in his first Ever British champs. And coaching Millsy to a pb total and watching him smash 2 British records in the process. | ||
