Yes brother just singles now up until the comp got reps to do on bench tomorrow then its singles all the way.

Well happy with todays session last rep session before my next comp so wanted to push it. 180 felt like a feather on my back and the first 5 reps were fast and smooth.
Enjoyed the high bar work really focussing on keeping upright and not getting pulled forward at the bottom.


great squatting mate, very strong! aiming for a 600+ total at your comp?

Yes mate!!!! Strength is there just gotta hold on to it now and drop a couple of kgs in bodyweight.

Things looking great for comp, Scott...don't be over doing it pal, you know what you can do now from training so plenty of rest mate and focus on your lifts, hopefully plenty of pb's all round! Hope to be there on the day will say ayup!

Cheers Jim be good to see you mate grab a beer after. You still working away or are u back training with the mac man now. An yeah I know mate good advice cheers this is my last heavy week.

Conventional deadlifts

60x5
100x3
130x2
150x2
170x1
190x1
210x1
230x1
245xfail (would have gone easily in a comp but bailed for safety)

Pull ups ( alternate grip opposite to deadlift grip )

Bw x 5 for 5 sets

Bent over row ( same grip as pullups )

40kg x 8 for 5 sets

Not a bad session 210, 230 are my planned 1st and 2nd lift for next comp and both went up easy 245 I could have ground it out but was no point this close to comp. The pullups and rows were done to releave a bit of tension in my right arm which I think is from doing alt grip one way on deadlifts for as long as I can remember.

You look to have peaked just right mate.
Nah mate still away in London for a good few months more, no excuses really after working and driving around London all day im f**ked lol but got to start sorting my s**t out, only training 2 days a week atm fri and sat or sundays normally but strength creeping back up slowly...:-(

Looking forward to seeing you lift bud, bags of potential!

Happy with this session despite how it looks been awake all night with sickness and s**ts so wasn't even gonna train today felt horrible all way through but 180 and 200 still felt nice plus the setup and speed of 215 felt a lot better than last week if I was 100% I am convinced it would have gone. Oh well one more week of training then week of rest before donny comp.

Best bench session of the year all reps flew up and got the lads to hold me at the bottom for a long time. My bench is finally on the move just at the right time.

Not sure what to make of tonight everything felt heavy and grindy been on mornings for last 3 days so lack of sleep maybe the reason. However looking back on paper no fails and to hit 200 again after doing 180,200 then 180x2 isn't a particularly bad day at the office.
