Squatting Sunday great atmosphere today in the gym with 6 of us all squatting and everyone hitting some form of pb how Sundays should be.

Raw squats

Bar x lots
60x5
80x5
100x3
120x2
140x1
160x1
180x1
200x1
212.5x1 new pb and 1kg over the 74kg British record

Pause squat ( 3 sec pause )

205x1 pb possible the biggest grinder I've ever done.

Another pb on squat and above the current British record just need to lose a couple of kg bow and do it in 4 weeks time. Amazed how easy it felt too be honest much easier squat than the 210 last week.

Paused bench

Bar x lots

All very easy with long pauses 135,145 and 150 are my planned lifts for next comp so just feeling them out all felt very explosive

Block presses

160x1 to 1" block
170x1 to 2" block
180xfail 2" block pissed off with this as 170 felt so easy had a bit of a high load and bar felt heavy in my hands.

Nice session all weights felt very explosive except the 180 which pissed me off as judging on 170 it should have sailed up.

Cheers Adam been a long time coming that squat I think there is more there just gotta keep working. Bench is starting to come back after having biceps tendonitis back end of last year.

But then you do something else in training that indicates a big one is on the way!

Cheers luke. Training has been going best its ever gone at the moment just hope it translates into a decent total on the platform.

As you well know mate its all about staying injury free.

Sumo deadlifts

Conventional deadlift

240x1 new pb

Great session today was just meant to be Sumo upto 225 but felt so good decided to do the conventional what I was meant to do Friday haha 240 was a bit of a grind but a clean rep which I'm happy with considering the 225 Sumo previous and the fact I had to take a spin class at 7am this morning. Thinking that fresh there is more there.
