Paused bench Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x2 110x1 120x1 All rest done to signals with extra long pauses. 130x1 135x1 135x1 135x2 Nice strong session tonight everything very easy good confidence builder with just over 1 week to go. Morning bodyweight just right at : 75.5kg | ||

Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 105x3 125x2 145x2 165x1 180x2 planned opener 200x2 planned 2nd lift Very easy and comfortable no grinders Pause squats ( 3 secs pause ) 180x2 Very tidy session just bench tomorrow then mobilty and stretching up until Saturday job is a good un. Morning bodyweight : 74.8kg easy. | ||

Paused bench Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x2 110x1 120x1 130x1 135x1 extra long pause 135x2 long pauses 135x2 long pauses 135x1 10 secs pause on chest. 2 good sessions coming into saturdays comp plenty of rest and mobilty now for next 3 days. | ||

Member 3850, 516 posts SQ 212.5, BP 157.5, DL 240610.0 kgs @ 76kgs UnEq | 5/4/14 Comp write up : YNE Senior Championships Training coming into this comp had been going the bet it had ever gone so was feeling really good coming into last week weighing around 76kg so I knew a water cut would be needed to make weight. Water cut went well and after a slight night of dehydration went to bed Friday night at 75 and woke up 73.9. Arrived at weigh in at 8 am weighed in at 74 kg dead on haha. Rehydrated and fed headed into the warm up room after some foam rolling and mobility stuff I was feeling good. Squat warm ups Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x3 125x2 145x2 165x1 Opener : 180kg 3 white lights very easy 2nd lift : 200kg 3 white lights harder than in training but always knew it was coming up 3rd lift 205kg fail. Knew on the way down this wasn't there think I had blew my legs up on the 200. 200kg is a 10kg comp pb so was very happy after this Bench press warm ups Bar x lots 60x5 80x5 100x2 110x1 120x1 130x1 long pause Opener : 135kg 3 white lights got told by centre ref to lock my arms at the start but still pressed easy. 2nd lift : 145kg fail. Easy press but my bum came off the bench very slightly 3rd lift : 145kg 3 white lights pushed my arse into bench and the press was still easy. Bit disappointed with this because there was easily another 5-7.5kg there on the day. 145 is equal to my best bench at 74 but to miss out on a pb due to a technical is a bit gutting. Own stupid fault. Deadlifts warm ups 110x5 130x2 150x1 170x1 190x1 Opener : 210kg 3 white lights very easy no problems 2nd lift : 230kg fail. Dropped my hips to deep at the start which made me slow off the bottom still managed to lock out but got failed for supporting the bar on my thighs. 3rd lift : 230kg 3 white lights kept my hips higher and hit it harder off the floor completely different lift. Happy with a 15kg deadlift pb but could of maybe squeezed out 235 if I hadn't messed up my 2nd lift Total : 575kg Very happy with this total this is 42.5kg more than the total I posted at the British last October so cannot complain. A few silly technical mistakes stand in my way from a 600 total I think by the time I get to the yne classic in June I will be on course for a 600 total. Then the aim for the British in October is 600+ Finally just wanna say how well run the comp was and it was great to see so many new lifters mixing it up with some of the best powerlifters great Britain has to offer made for a great atmosphere. | ||
