'531' I hate hearing people who can't even bench 3 plates a side go on about how amazing '531' is. 'OVERTRAINING' I've had 1 day off in 6 weeks! And made lovely gains! Overtraining is bullcrap! 'DRUG FREE' Do you want some special recognition because you have normal test levels? Weights are weights, it doesn't matter what you take IMO. 'ARSE TO GRASS' This is impossible. One's arse CANNOT touch the floor while back squatting. I especially hate it when this term is used to describe a squat that is barely to parallel. 'LOOSE SUIT BOTTOMS' or 'LOOSE WRAPS' Look, you're in kit. The term loose being added to make it 'closer to raw' and therefore more impressive really gets on my tits! | ||

In fact. the training related 'phrase' that I hate is the assumption that I AM artificially enhancing because I can outlift lots of guys that do. | ||

Americans seem to do this more than anyone else it seems. Everyone who makes a lift in their comps 'has 20lbs to spare, if not more' Following this comment, the lifter promptly shuts it down for the day The loose suit/wraps/belt/forklift thing confuses me also. Does that mean you gain extra kudo's points? Implies you are good for alot more with a tight suit, or just means a looser peice of equipment actually allows you to do the lift to the proper specification? 'I would compete raw but equipped is where the real competition is' Really? just checking the results from WPC raw worlds and Raw Unity, I don't see any British lifters winning those competitions? | ||
