Bombed! No idea why really, training was good.. All my movements were total s**t, doing stuff ive never really done for many many months. Felt pretty good but as if id never really lifted before. Training tmoro, put that s**t behind me. will take a lot more than that to discourage me but f**k its a bit of a downer.

Hey thanks guys. No worries. Had a great weekend actually meeting some new folks and seeing lots of familiar faces. Fact of the matter is i cant train to be as good as i want to be by myself, too many things go unseen and actual progress is very slow, while potential goes up and up and the 85-90% get easier and easier. After the summer im moving anyway though so ill probably change things until then and see whats what as we havent decided where we are going yet.

Good luck there Gingy n Andy today! Owen was really good yesterday!

Thanks for the previous updates Charis, but... Since March, You have not added any workouts, you have not added any progress pics, you have not shown any dedication or motivation to workout or gain a healthier you or to obtain a thick, tight, solid physique. The only thing you have done on this site is accumulate friends. Will no longer follow your log. Thanks.

Just a little update for all you bros.

Training been good. Worked differently and with good results since my fail at the last competition. Putting up decent numbers, good progress, much technically better and also more powerful. 125 clean, 175 back squat (ugly), 152 front, 100 push press (huge progress for me, first time in 6 months doing this just working on the leg drive and it clicked nicely), 85x3 and 90 power snatch after a month off from them. Injured (and keep doing so, irritatingly) my big toe on the back foot of the split jerk so been doing some powers, 100 for reps, now my push is better this should get higher quickly. So I am doing well within my plan and my aims for the moment.

Job interview in Manchester on Tuesday, fingers crossed it spells a return up north to the lands of good training and cheap accommodation and pleasant accents.

Also I want to vent a little here. My goal 2 years ago was to qualify for Cyprus for the Commonwealths. I made a tonne of mistakes over that time but whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger and all that s**t, long story short I missed that target and it affected my psyche significantly.

What I am particularly annoyed about is that the federation in Cyprus said that the competition in October 2013 was THE ONE to qualify at, I was nowhere near. Then they said a competition in February (announced in January), so I found a comp in March. Then 1 week ago they announced a "qualifier" for the Games held next Wednesday, May 28th or whatever that is.

Now if I knew there was a clear qualifying competition at the end of May from sometime early this year or late last year or whenever, things might have been different. I am not saying they would have been for certain and most likely in my situation there would have not have been enough difference in my results, but the chance and the difference in how I would approach things makes me pretty pissed off. If I get told I missed my shot in October, I won't be hell bent to get in great shape for May. If I get told the team was given in during December last year, I won't be hell bent on being ready for May. One day I will be ready to take things as they come but that time is not yet, f**king bunch of monkeys in charge. Am I saying I deserve to go? Absolutely not I am s**t. But I would have been less s**t if I had a clearer path to very different goals and time frames.
