No, mate, I had it in me - 67.5 was an easy PR.
I got about half way but for some reason it didn't go further, not a lot of leg/hip drive - my form is a bit rubbish I think.

Push Press is all about speed and reducing the acual amount of effort your arms have to put in. Look at the push jerk vids, they are not locking the weight out with thier triceps, merley supporting it. Its all tech on these so stick at them.

have to agree with matt be really aggressive with the leg drive and work the technique and you piss all over 70

I must admit that is my failing point - I lock it out with the triceps as you said!
Could do them end of the week again, if the mood strikes!

Have a bit of a problem with the elbows, though. Like with front squats, I unrack it with elbows high up.
But before the lift I lower them so they're straight down like the starting position of the lift. Is this of any importance? I haven't tried them with elbows up a la olympic lifters.

bit of conditioning
50 burpees in about 4 minutes, pr by 1 minute.

lobbing old melons over the roof into field x 2, failed on the 3rd rep, it hit the low wall around the roof. will be a right mess to clean up tommorow.

Decent session today, deadlift form.

140x1 - stiff legged it, no starting leg power.

so did
100x2 x 4sets, focusing on leg drive, these went well.
120x1

Then did
Hang cleans, focusing on form again since they are a cool exercise.

Tricky s**t but a productive day.

did hanging leg raises x 10, russian twists with 5kg x 20, 2 circuits

also did some pushdowns because I have sore elbows today.
