Some rediculous posts in here

I have not done a whole lot of training recently as since i hadnt done owt for a few weeks in oz i knew id be wrecked for work if i trained straight off the back of it / knew would be busy so pretty much didnt do anything for like a month other than a couple gripper sessions, some push ups and a 227kg DO axle deadlift - the later was a cool surprise as i thought i was lifting 197k and was a bit weak not having trained much but then i realised there was another 15k plate inside the tyre when i unloaded it so had done 500lb.

What i've done since then is just a couple bodyweight exercise sessions and a couple gripper sessions which am keeping light for now. Really want to get the #4 cert done, have been close to it for a good while now. Going to keep doing mainly bodyweight stuff for a while otherwise until am strong on them then start up proper lifting again.

Yesterday

Grippers no chalk

Right
- to coc #2.5 x 10,10 wide/slow with overcrush each rep

Left

- to coc #2 x 10,10 wide/slow with overcrush each rep

Today

Standing press with raise negatives using log grip x ??
Push ups off 3" thickbar x 10 with double pause (chest then sticking point)
Close grip push ups off 3" thickbar x 10 with double pause
Behind neck pull ups on 3" thickbar x 10
Hyper extensions x ??
Russian leg curls x 6
Single leg squat x 6/6
Plank x 30 seconds

When is the punch line?

Is this month "boxing month"?

Punch line might come around again in a couple of months.

I have been doing a lot of these myself recently, great for working your quads.

Yeah loads, they were really odd, you could feed them and pet them but they would always be looking in the distance or at something else. Reminded me of a guy that me and my bro were talking to in a club once and he out of the blue decides to start beating the living hell out of some random dude.

Would have to be nathan holle assuming you live in the UK?

It is very difficult still but what he and the others did is much easier than what you have to do to cert the #4 now. What happened was a lot of people getting an easier than average gripper for certification and also oversetting the gripper down to less than an inch so in i think it was 2006 they changed the rules to a new gripper out the package and a credit card width set. Nobody has certified since (though holle may possibly be capable). A legit average #4 close with 1" set is probably about as hard as a 400kg powerlifting deadlift however the new rules with credit card you could maybe add another 100k to that. I used to think it wasnt that difficult and as soon as one of genetic monsters tried they would be they have all tried and still nobody has done it. I know mark henry was training for it years back, rich williams has said he has no chance, ioan pascua (something like that) was a mile away when he tried, so was mike burke, and brian shaw failed the #3.5.

I would like to do it at a lighter bodyweight also but just to do it at any weight would be cool with me.
