Cheers mate! Was very happy with it for jumping in so heavy.

So I flew out to Worlds and didn't get in! Felt very strong and actually think I had a really good shot at the final with the events in the group but no such luck. Bobby Thompson limped through the first event and then pulled out which was annoying and Pa didn't even bother doing all the events which was also annoying but still some good fun being out there and with some guys turning down invites it's never a bad thing to show that you're the guy that's always available. I think the log may be coming to an end however. I keep forgetting to update and at this stage I don't think it's useful for my training so keep it as I have everything planned out well in advance anyway so I shall bow out but I'll probably pop on Sugden still a little bit. It's quite sad but Sugden was actually quite a significant part of my youth haha trawling the boards and training journals of Hix, Ben K et al. It's a bit of a ghost town now of course but good to see some of the old heads still posting. It's been a good run and I'm happy to have logged 12 years of training going from novice level to multiple WSM appearances and national titles. I doubt there is a better log of a strongman career progression in all the land. Hopefully some young lifters trawl through it like I did with some of the guys logs on here years ago!

Yes they need coaches very much so, can't think of many sports where elite athletes wouldn't have coaches.

Was really sore with all the events I'm not used to so mobility work and a 10 minute incline treadmill walk.

PB is 230x7 so buzzing with being so close after no viking pressing for over a year.

Again, really happy after no yoke, not a bad time that and the surface I was on was a bit of a gradient too.

Right so did two deload sessions at the start of that week. Decided to take the full deload week rather than five days as I was feeling the fatigue. Holiday was great but woke up to a message Friday morning asking me to be WSM reserve! So that made things a bit hectic, found a gym for a session Saturday morning and then back home Monday morning.

Annoying one today, woke up in middle of the night thinking I was going to throw up, managed to avoid it and get back to sleep but woke up still feeling off. Told Shannon I wasn't gonna be able to train so she went on her own but a few hours later I actually feel almost normal. Weird one but I think my body is just needing a bit of a rest. Hammies are dead from single leg RDL yesterday which they really shouldn't be and that's after a 9 hour sleep too! One more big session then a small one Tuesday and I get five days off in sunny Portugal. On a brilliant note Nancy slept through the whole night so hopefully that becomes somewhat of a regular occurrence and I will be an extremely happy man!

Great session. Would have liked 5 on stiff legs but still a big PB. Hamstrings will feel like iron after my deload I think as they are in perma fatigue at the moment!

Threw up Thursday night, must have eaten something dodgy but drained me and didn't feel too clever so left my Friday session.
