I've been there with the squats for a while now. Just broke out of it today for the first time in months. Stick in there and eat more! haha Thats what I did and it worked eventually.

Steady enough session, was going to go for 185 but the 180 was harder than I'd anticipated. Maybe not eaten enough today and done too much walking round the lakes to make an impression... thats my excuse anyway !

Bit of a f**ked up session as we were going for 1rm's to see where we were, it threw me a little as I never expected to fail the 130 (a weight I got about 2 months ago) I was aiming for 135. The 130 never even felt like going up, I think it had me beaten on the way down.

I need to get some structure back with my Bench routine, I'm happy with my Deadlift and Squat sessions but will tweak my bench. Might do 5x5 again for a bit. Anyway I'm off for a little cry...

Thanks... but I didn't, my P.B is 130 (about 2 months ago I think) Confused

I hate Benching at the minute, its getting right on my tits ! Grin

D/E Box Squat

After reading an article on Box Squats, I tried to nail the correct form today and ensure I pause on the Box rather than bounce, which I am guilty of doing at times... quite happy with them...

100 x 3 x 10 sets

Leg Extensions

Full Rack x 15 reps x 3 sets

Supersetted with...

Leg Curls

3/4 rack x 8-10 reps x 3 sets

Missing out calf raises as the only way I can do em at my gym is to do standing Barbell, and I think is putting a lot of strain on my lower back so I'm going to bin em for now.

Rest tommorrow, I think I need it !!

Leg curls are something that I wish I could do. I started using the straight leg deadlifts to try and hit them recently.

Do you find that the ham curls help a lot?

I'm not sure just how much they help me to be honest. I dont do them often enough. I'm trying to improve flexibility in my hams more than anything in an attempt to ease my back trouble.
One thing I have noticed, I could curl a hell of a lot more on the leg curl yesterday than last time on the m/c (a couple of months ago at a guess) and is probably down to doing 3's, doubles and single squats rather than sets of 5.
I used to love sldl's but have dropped em for a while due to my back.
