You'll bounce back man don't worry Happy
Plenty food and plenty rest heals everything. Next time we'll sort the platform out before we start and that should make stuff a bit better.

Looked like some fanny had been in with talc. We chalked the platform and it helped a bit, but nowhere near enough. Not exactly confidence inspiring or safe for that matter.

Almost glad I never made it now, probably would have been slipping everywhere too lol.

Are you taking a deload next week or training at Lloyds?

I think I'm gonna take a week training at Lloyds mate. I also think training later in the day works better for me - allows me time to get in from work, chill, eat and get in a better mindset for training. I'll def be back to the palace the following Tues. My neck is sore tonight as is my back - with the slipping was using more stabilisers than I would have wanted to. Early night I think...

Yeh that platform was ridiculously slippy. Where you had your right foot was like ice! Still some good numbers going on though!

Ice??? What in the heck has been going on in there hahaha!

I can see where you're coming from, that week a while back when we squatted on a slippy platform and you and I both had a mare of a session was very annoying, I can imagine it was quite similar to that. I most likely won't be in next Tues either as I need to take a deload next week for the good of my shoulders, so will see you the Tues after buddy.

Last night was even more slippy to begin with bud. I think I'm gonna take it easy the next 7 days as far as deads and squats are concerned - my back is feeling ubertight.
Have to do some bodybuilding exercises tomorrow night just for fun. LOL

Tonight I had a short weights session - couple of sets of tate presses to warm up then some dumbell shoulder press. Worked up to 2 top sets with the 34k bells Happy Couple of weeks time I think the 36s might be getting tried.
Then some weighted dips - 2x10 with a 10k bell (not much I know, but want to start light and build it up)
Then some rotator cuff exercises followed by 3 sets of headstand abwork.
After that it was stretching and a small amount of foam rolling.
Last port of call in the gym was a massage. Half hour back neck and shoulders - girl doing it was knackered after 2 minutes and for the last 15 minutes was sitting down only working my neck. She still found it hard going while I nearly fell asleep as I was relaxed. LOL
My neck has definitely eased off a fair bit, although next time I've to get an advanced massage from her male colleague as she couldn't get in deep enough on my back. LMAO!

Completed a half k swim last night.

Gym today went like this...

DEADLIFT

Warm ups then 3@160 raw, 1@180 and 1@200 - easy day since I had thick soled boots on.

BENCH

Warmups then 5x6@90 and 1x6@95 - that's the most my shoulder will allow me to lift off by myself I reckon.

CROSS BENCH PULLOVERS

6@20, 6@26, 6@32, 6@34

DIPS

2x10 + 1x15 with 12k dumbell

A quick and relatively easy session today. Just what was needed Happy

Buggered my shoulder a bit this afternoon, so training was pretty much all lower body today.

SQUATS

Warm ups then 8@150 raw 2x6@160 1x3@180 1x2@190 Got video of my depth and I think it's looking not too bad...

After that it was core work then I went for a swim. Tested my new toy and the supposed ten minute swim turned into 40 minutes or so. No sprints today, but did end up doing a length of fly when "Jump" came on. Wasn't out of breath at all today - admittedly the crawl was slow speed as my left shoulder was VERY sore tonight. Time to hop onto the inversion table me thinks...
