The main benching was VERY easy tonight - decided since it's funtime to go back to my old volume session type plan. My triceps were given a beasting with the high rep set followed by uber-close sets (again with just 50k). Been a long time since I last did a bench burn out set. My right arm didn't fade or die so much as just stopped working - think the lactate build up just prevented any motor units doing their jobs. Either that or my CNS / neurons decided that in the words of Bill Paxton "game over man, game over!"

Was good getting the chance of a proper catch up with Ross tonight and El Wiege was strong tonight!


Yes it was good to cath up and have a bit of a laugh, just like old times!

SKWATZ - 6@ "162.5" 6@ "165" both felt very easy and should have been - misloaded myself by 10k - d'oh! So then did a set of 6@ 162.5.

FRONTS - 6@100, 6@110 then put belt on and did 3@120, 1@130 and 1@137.5 (pb for this)

BENCH - 5x6@102.5 and 1x6@105 all VERY easy again with minimal rest between. Did a burn out 50k set again today and increased my number by 7 reps to get 42. I will get up to 50 reps - I'm determined. Then of course the target moves to 60@60 Wink

Another good fun session with LOADS of humour. The levity in the gym these days is increasing each week which is a good thing Happy

You had a damn good session tonight man. Those weights are looking easy for you just now and the PB front squat was awesome. It shows the strength in those quads!

Was a good workout last night, just got my ugly 160 to beat on fronts, judging by last night you will smash that soon as you have the levers for it. A very good laugh too with Craig and Danny, more of this please lol! Grin

Cheers bro! The legs have the power, but as I said last night it felt ugly as hell because I can't get the arms back far enough and had to use them to stop the bar tipping forwards.

Now that it's all training for fun, the humour will get ramped up again - of that there is no doubt! Couldn't believe it when Craig lost it "BIG CHIST, HEID UP!" Gonna use that to wind him up next time as well - wanna get the 50 reps before him. LOL

Next week I might decide to Bruce Lee cross kick the 'invader' if he stands within six feet of me or tries to spout any crap. LOL

I reckon you should front squat with straps. It'd make things much easier for you bro.

Leg is getting there - double bodyweight tonight for a couple of raw 4s on the old squats followed by some fronts, working up to a raw single at 130 (only 10k off my pb belted front to date Happy)

Bench - 5x6@110 + 6@112.5 followed by 48@50k - my triceps were screaming at that point - 2 away from my target and I failed. Still, closer than I've gotten before.

Props to Wiege on his pb bench - very good session from him tonight!

And look out for the Wiege cuz he's gonna sneak up in the night and take this 50 rep bench like he snuck up and took your anal cherry at the school disco Grin
It's f**king amazing and f**king infuriating how the triceps die in this challenge. There's so much more off the chest but the lockout just bloody disappears doesn't it!

Good training today Happy Front squats were mighty. New PB coming up for you in not too long I reckon with those.

Yeah, but 2 short of the target buddy. Will get it in the next couple of weeks hopefully.

Am tight pretty much all over today - legs n glutes from the squatting, chest from the high reps plus the 1 + 1/4 reps set and matrix set I did after the 50 rep attempt, and my abs from doing flags.

Still, lets me know I've been able to work Happy
