Brief ham curls again today

8@40, 8@50, 2x6@60, 6@70

Think I'll be up to body weight for reps soon enough - strength going up quick on these which is good as I've never been that great at the exercise.

I could probably manage 4x6@70 already, but after the squatting on a Tuesday, I don't want to overdo it... Wink

Up since 6am. Exam in the morning. Eaten twice. Not as good a session as I;d hoped for at 8pm.

DEADS

5@160 raw sumo, 2@180 + 1@200 conventional belted.

DUMBELL SHOULDER PRESS

8@24, 8@28, 8@32, 4@36

Few sets of rotator cuff work then a couple of sets of 8 with the 20 then 24 bells on incline press.

Was hot, hungry and not in the mood for it tonight.

Whatdya do for rotator cuff work then?
My right shoulder's a bit tight and wondered if this "cuff" nonsense might help it... Wink

I took your viginity?? Hahaha.

I use a light dumbell - 6 or 8k although you can also use resistance bands.

First one is best done standing against a wall with upper arm tight in against the body to start with 90' bend at elbow, almost in hammer curl position. Then try to bring dumbell to wall by rotating to the side (arm only).

Second one also done standing against wall. This time arm straight out along wall at shoulder height then bent at elbow so forearm and hand point straight down to floor. Then rotate arm upwards, trying to keep 90' angle as much as possible until bell touches wall above where it started.

Third one I normally do sat on a bench with other hand behind my back. Start with arm in front bent again at 90' with arm across body and palm of fist facing inwards to body. From there rotate outwards and upwards in one movement to finish in a position slightly higher than start for dumbell press.

I realise the explanations might not be as clear as they could so will try and get some videos to show what I mean.

Think I've got the jist of it. I don't have any baby dumbells but I'll give it a try with a light plate instead. Happy

10@155 (PB - done 15@150, but never tried heavier than that aside from last week), 5x3@175 all raw. Single @195 belted then 30@105 raw (PB)

Enjoyed your colouring after that set of 30. Was similar to that of Tinky Winky haha

Cheers muchly. I'll stop the raw 10 in another 2 weeks once I get to 160 I think. I'll need to start tapering for the comp in July. Plus, this week was final week of 30 rep set till after both comps are done. Thankfully ended it with a PB Happy
