manic manic manic - jesus, I sound like a broken record. Uni coursework is kicking my ass right now. Anyway, short and sharp tonight but got the basic in:

Squat w/belt[x4 @9.5]:
150kg @7.5/8
170kg @9
175kg @9.5
165kg @9

Touch and go press[x3 @8.5]:
110kg @7.5/8
120kg @8/8.5
125kg @8.5/9
117kg @8.5

Close grip to 3 board[x5 @9]:
110kg @7.5
125kg @8/8.5
132kg @9
125kg @8.5

Squats moved pretty well until the 175 - felt a little unsteady on these, but the bar moved ok in the end - weith a little more rest, Id have gotten another set at 165...good.

Benching moved pretty well - the 125 was borderline for the 8.5, pretty happy with the close grips, with more practice, they could rocket.

Soooo started my treatment tonight for my knee 'tendonopothy' - and that is the injury, confirmed by MRI - with the tendonitis being present on the quad tendon and some mild inflammation on the patella also.

I am starting out with a series of treatments, based on 'shockwave' therapy - like a high powered ultra-sound. Apparently it started out as a treatment for kidney stones! The high powered vibrations sending the pulse through the body...it has now been used successfully on tendon injuries...

Seems like I have stumbled on to a decent physio place, we discussed other treatments to clear this up - if the 4-5 sessions dont work, we will look at PRP injections...

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr its brass monkeys over here - t'was -6 at my home this morning, but significantly warmer in my hotel room right now Grin Anyway, finally managed to find somewhere to train whilst I am down in London...haha only been coming here for a year now...anyway, after a bit of a protracted journey, I got down to training:

Comp bench[x4 @9.5]:
115kg @8
120kg @9
122.5kg @9.5 (x3)
115kg @8.5, 9.5

Failed the 4th on my heaviest set! first failed rep in months (other than in competition)...I am putting it down to a different set-up..pressing just was off slightly today, it was also pointed out to me that I wasn't really gripping the bar so to speak, just resting it in my hand - something to remember!

Deadlift w/belt[x4 @9.5]:
180kg @7.5/8
200kg @8
220kg @9/9.5
215kg @9
200kg @9/9.5

Very happy with the pulls tonight, even if I can't add up - to used to using the 25s at home...and added up wrong - thought I'd hit 230 not 220!! D'Oh - I think 225 was there if I'd hit that rather than 220, still - it was a PB at any rate.

POR Incline [x5 @9]:
85kg @7.5/8
100kg @8.5
105kg @9
95kg @8
95kg @9

Well at least this was better than my first benching movement!

SSBs dropped from tonight - I had my first treatment for knee/ quad tendonitis yesterday and my knee is a little sore, plus I am out of time...I have an essay to finish tonight, ready for the morning, just like the good old days. NOT.

Thanks Bill !

I am indeed, signed up and renewed my GBPF membership a couple weeks back. I think I am aiming for 610+ - I felt like I left quite a lot on the platform in Nov, so I am just going to go all out and see where I end up!

My targets are 210/140/260 - 610...we shall see! Happy

Continued my training whilst down in London, making a refreshing change - be even better if I could get the right train or one that isn't re-directed!!! Ended up having to run nearly 2 miles to the gym..not ideal in the snow in chucks haha

Overall a pretty good session - legs and lower back were a little pumped pre squatting, but hey-ho. I must just struggle with the different bench at this place...never mind! Looking forward to going home now!

so it seems most of the uk is on shut down with the snow - at least there is a good 6-8" in Coventry...so time for a snow day, amirite?

Feeling a little beat up today for whatever reason, so spent a little longer rolling and loosening up - sports massage required at the weekend! Anyway, graft:

Overall reasonably good session - PB on the squats - both for top weight and overall volume! Form broke down quite a bit on the 190, so got some solid work in on the down sets.

Bench, meh - did all of these sets with a belt - which seemed to help. I just a little tired in the chest/ shoulder region for whatever reason. These just aren't progressing as I'd like...

LOL at the 140 close grips - smashed x4..looked good for 10 or - failed the next rep! haha

I was looking through my bench numbers - and they seem to be pretty damn static. I looked back at when I got my bench from a very poor 120ish - to a comfortable 130 - and them main theme from that was a f**kton of back work.

Soooo I think I am going to add back heavier rows and some more chins, something that I have dropped over the past 4-5 months..

Could help get this thing moving again - my dead and squat are progressing nicely, just need the bench to do the same!

Also my BW is pretty steady at 101-102ish depending on the day and meals eaten the day before. I would like to drop a bit of fat still though, I am going to continue with my IF approach but perhaps tweak a few things and be a bit more regimented in my approach.
