It was a mock comp, so Squat first, bench then deads - there were a few factors that probably limited the result (long day, tight hamstring, late at night sesh)... The just doesn't seem to move quite as well, the belt comes back this week until the comp, so see how that helps out. | ||

Pretty pleased with the other 2 movements! Training again Friday when I have a spotter and more time...fingers crossed. | ||

Snatch Grip SLDL are a b**ch lol, is it just me or do they hit your upper back a lot harder than regular SLDLs? I know a guy that recommends doing heavy Snatch Grip partials in the rack for that reason. Quads must be pretty tight, I imagine! | ||

Painful..but feels better now, fingers crossed for lunges tonight and pin squats Fri! | ||

Hard going tonight! Bench was really tough going for 5s with a pause, happy with the top set - probably had another 1-1.5kg there, but no fractional plates! Deadlifts were strong tonight, but form got a little sloppy - I got carried away chasing the number rather than working on staying tight etc. LOL at the db press - having made them up on oly db's - they were quite large and awkward to lift in - thats what made the 55kg set a 9.5 - the 45s were easy, could have hit 8 reps there easy. Called it a day after one set of lunges - knee was sore and didnt want to irritate it. | ||
