![]() Weird injury specialist - now with funny groin Member 283, 1648 posts | Big, Big Thanks for heads up fella's. JC's a rum f**ker LOL! Still not right yet, but when I am I'll be back into the strongman faster than Usain Bolt with a rocket up his arse! Shrank down to 113 at the moment which is the lightest I've been in 12 years or so. Feel fairly weak in the gym but I think lay offs and a lack of motivation are to blame more than Wt loss. Really don't see the point of being 130-135 kgs for no purpose so I'm glad I've shed the Lbs! Be EXTREMELY HAPPY if I could compete again at any wt. It's not the be all and end all for me but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss saturday mornings at Olympic or the Dungeon. Still getting down to Catts with JC, Millsy, Pascal and Dia. Usually do more watching & spotting their squats but still throw in the odd lightish set LOL! All the Very Best to all the lads I know on Sug's. Take Care. Mick | ||

![]() Weird injury specialist - now with funny groin Member 283, 1648 posts | Thanks Fella's. Sorry the reply took so long! Bit of an update anyway. Still not A1 but my back seems to be showing small signs of improvement now at last! Been doing core stability work almost every morning for last 3 weeks and started some self administered trigger point therapy. I've noticed I got sore spots at the side of each buttock near my hips so have targeted those areas. Been using my thumbs and side rolling around on a snooker ball or tennis ball depending on how much pain I want to tolerate! Got a referal to an NHS physio in the hope that I would get an MRI, so far to no avail. Anyhow what I'm doing now seems to be having some effect on my persistent back trouble so at least I'm managing to do a little bit of proper training at last ![]() Been really busy with work of late so not really had time to log on here much or train as much as what i would of liked to. Anyway work has eased a wee bit so I'm hoping to make some progress now. | ||

Squats were ok, almost painless on my back. Deadlifts easy enough but hurt on the top end sets which does frustrate me a bit!
