Mate that 145 continental was so close, both times. It will be nailed every week.

If you continue to do these, no reason why you cant be doing 160 before the season in full flow

Farmers looked good man - you are gathering some speed from session to session!

Goes to show even old dogs can learn new tricks Grin

Thanks Joni.I was pleasantly surprised when timed. It feels like I'm moving faster now than last year. It's great having so many fast men at the dungeon it makes you try harder when your training partners fly around with the equipment.

Yeah your speed is noticeably faster on those farmers, and the times show that. Also 10 easy reps without tacky with the 140kg stone is good going at this stage of the comeback!

Great speed with the farmers Mick, getting quicker week by week

Was very impresses with your stones too, 10 reps @ 140 with no tacky, and your conditioning was great, you didnt really seem to be blowing at the end!!

Thanks for all the kind words fellas.I'm just going to keep working at it week by week and get it as good as I possibly can for qualifiers. The British scene is very strong now,as we all know. For me it's just about beating my best weights and times.

TRAINING AT CATTS WITH PORK PIE(shawy jumped in at the end and showed me up no ends on the wrist roller,wa**er LOL)

NARROW GRIP BENCH PRESS
5 X 100
5 X 120
4 X 140
5 X 140

VIKING PRESS
10 X 40
6 X 80
6 X 120
5 X 160

DIPS (BODYWEIGHT) X 10 X 3 SETS

WRIST ROLLER 3 SETS

ROWER 500M IN 1MIN 30

Not a bad session tonight, upper body feeling a bit stronger and not as knackered after rowing.Dia put a sterling performance on the bench press hitting 180 for 5 reps comfortably
Happy Cool

Is this the secret to forearm strength?

I'm not trying to be funny, and I know you're a strongman not a rower, but I reckon if you sorted your technique out those rowing times should plummet; you're way way stronger than me, and I pulled a 1.23 500m when I was a few stones lighter and even punier than I am now.

Nice work mate; that is some weight on the viking!

Keep hammering those close grips and those triceps will be locking out a 130+ log in no time Happy
