Had to quickly do squats in the gym then do some dumbell stuff at home tonight due to missus going out... Squats 5x bar 5x60kg 5x100kg 3x120kg belt on 1x140kg 1x150kg 1x150kg (f) 1x140kg 3x120kg Then home for the rest, weights shown do noty include dumbell handles or owt like that. One arm (standing) dumbell strict press 10x20kg 3x10 25kg (last 2-3 reps needed a little push, but I was starting with my elbow fully bent i.e. nice and deep) 10x20kg quickly Plate raises with 2x10kg plates pinched together 4x10 Flyes 10x10kg each hand 4x10 20kg each hand Hammer curls 3x10 20kg each hand Concentration curls 3x10 w/15kg Grippers various sets and reps with 150lb-250lb grippers Pissed off about having to finish off at home, never mind though, I could do with some higher rep training for a while I supose, might stick some in on alternate days, inbetween heavier (for me!) days. My shoulders are killing me every morning at the minute, I might invest in some good pain killers. | ||

I need to give my old shoulder joints a rest from heavy s**t for a week, maybe need more warm ups as well. As long as I can do the overhead medley and get LOTS of practice on stones and the medley I will not do so bad. I will be down olympic tomorrow, looking forward to it. | ||

Can't remember exact reps and sets, weights are right though.Dumbell snatch 30kgx5 40kg 4x3 or something like that, once I had got the failed attempts out of the way... Clean and jerk 80kg (Failed press) 70kg a few times Axle clean and jerk 60kg x3 then a medley of 40kg db, 80kg barbell and 70kg axle did this twice I think (Edit: forgot about log press!) Log clean and press 65kg log 1 clean, 3 press 75kg cleaned a few times, failed press 65kg log clean and press x3 Stones 90kg x3 103kg (Failed) 90kgx3 103kg (Failed to load it - a couple of inches short) 90kg 2x1 Never snatched 40kg before, so a massive PB. I need to get some technique work on the events, if I tidy it up a bit it might give me another 5-10kg, which is a start! Need to get my eating and sleeping sorted out, it's been all over the last few weeks, which I feel is having an effect. No excuses though, I just need to get more practice on the events! Time to sit down and make the plan .... | ||
