It was the grip that gave way on the 1st walk. On the 2nd walk I carried them back to where I'd started, and the grip was still strong.

I've got a hectic calendar, but we'll have to arrange something.

i was thinking how the hell do you pick those beasts up, but then remembered your 18 inch dead pb Grin

good work! Its heavy weight to be moving around!

Is that the similar kind of pick up height than in UKs?

The pick-up wasn't easy! Around 3 or 4 inches below my knees. The pick-up in the UK's will be a little higher (I've had a go on the kit).

If it's the same one - I'd say around 8' and 80/90 kilos.

Just a matter of getting it into the right position, and balanced.

I pressed the block OK.

Not a great session today. So hot in the gym, and people training curls (and other gay exercises) kept getting in my way, especially when I was training axle.

AXLE POWER CLEAN & STRICT PRESS

Warmed up to...

90 x 1
100 x 1

AXLE CONTINENTAL CLEAN & PUSH PRESS

115 x 1 - press was a doddle
125 - failed clean
125 - failed clean (close)
125 - failed clean

AXLE POWER SNATCH

50 x 1
60 x 1
62.5 x 1
62.5 x 1

DEAD LIFT

The plan was to get a double with 250, but it wasn't happening today. Maybe I hadn't fully recovered from HEAVY farmer's pick-ups last session.

150 x 1
190 x 1
250 - fail - I gave up as soon as it came off the floor! Don't know why.
250 x 1
250 x 1

WEIGHTED CHINS

BW x 1 (warm-up)
BW + 30Kg - 1 rep
BW + 30Kg - 1 rep
BW + 30Kg - 1 rep.

A couple of guys approached me about strongman training. I'm going to introduce them to some event work on Thursday!
