Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22717 posts | My back/hip were aching when I woke up this morning Strong session today.... WEIGHTED CHINS (neutral grip) +13 x 4 +13 x 4 +13 x 4 +13 x 4 SQUATS (raw, deep) 192.5 x 4 192.5 x 4 Back problem not aggravated at all I've found that if I keep my head up (instead of proudly admiring my depth in the mirror) I feel slightly stronger. A foreign guy I've never met before said I have a good back - see "Non-bodybuilders getting physique compliments" thread. He was also impressed by my squats ("You do too much") and was amazed I wasn't using wraps

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22717 posts | I've fallen out with my DB It just wouldn't co-operate with me today. Couldn't get comfortable with it on either shoulder, left in particular. Several successful lifts with right arm, but some failures. Inexcusable One successful lift with left arm among LOTS of failures. Did several single handed lifts off the ground (left and right). During the session I noticed that a little snail had made its way onto the DB. It was promptly rescued

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22717 posts | Today... POWER CLEANS - up to an ugly 111. I haven't pulled anything off the floor for so long that I'm now too tight to get into the proper start position WEIGHTED CHINS (neutral grip) - 4 x 4 with 13.5Kg attached to me. These are ticking along nicely. SQUATS (raw, deep) 200 x 3 - nice 201 x 3 - even nicer I was meant to be doing 195 for 2 sets of 4, but I don't like being sub 200, so I thought I'd put a bit more on and do 3s. A triple with 205 is definitely there. Did a few left-handed DB presses with moderate weights.

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22717 posts | Cheers Hixxy. The 1st rep of each set was easy, which gave me a boost. I wasn't really fired up for training today.

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22717 posts | Today... LOG up to 117 x 1 - nice lift Hadn't touched the log for a while. More there, but wanted to finish on a good lift rather than a failure. STRICT LOG 97 x 3 97 x 3 LIGHT BENCH 60 x 2 Aborted. Pec tendon still isn't right. Who needs bench anyway? Not me. PLATE PINCHING Pair of 15s, several short holds with each hand. Left hand was stronger than right today. Never known that before.

My left pec tendon decided (and rightly so) that it didn't like me adding that stupid lying down exercise to my well established repertoire of exercises! Luckily the injury doesn't affect overhead pressing at all. It felt like it had almost healed, so I thought I'd test it out with some light benching. I'd like to do an unequipped powerlifting comp early next year. I'm thinking I'll just do one very light bench, and treat the comp as an attempt to get a squat/dead PB, and as a demo of PROPER squat depth!
