resolution is poor bec it was filmed on a mobile, but hey ho.....can't really see if it was pressed out, but gotta go with the judges' decision.

It's not often the judges get it wrong in my experience BUT they probably let a lot go which they shouldn't, certainly in lower level comps. (I'd have never had a jerk passed I don't think if it wasn't for judges sympathy!! Grin)

I hope they get rid of this rule. Tis a stupid one! Anyway man who can actually press out an amount they can jerk overhead deserves to have the lift passed in my books.

Well done on the 85x3 snatch PB as well. Some cracking lifting going on from the looks of it

Just been watching some of your vids. Awesome stuff! Out of interest, why aren't you taking the double with the 78kg dumbbell? It seemed locked out and I would have thought you held it long enough to have it passed in a comp.

You could do the doors at Alton Towers. If they're shorter than you they can't go on the rides.

what gets me is that when I first started on the doors was about 13.5st and was a f**king midget compared to most lads. (f**k off Jabba before you say anything)

Nowadays half the lads I see on the doors are 12st pretty boys who look like they couldn't do f**k all even if they wanted. I know that size isn't anything but it help when dealing with a bunch of dickheads.

I did it for 3-years a good while back. Only being 5'7" meant that I was never put on the really naughty venues. They want the big lumps for that, so for me it was relatively easy money.

That said, it's easy money until a broken pint glass is shoved in your face, then £1,000 an hour isn't worth it! I drive past the guys on the doors in the middle of winter now and think "poor bas***ds!"

Do they even cost more than that new?

Personally, unless I was going to get 20kg on my total I ain't paying that much for my shoes!

^ This....except my Christmas day tends to miss the "relax" bit Unhappy

Years and years ago when I was competitively Thai-boxing I did go for a run on Christmas day. I'd been out drinking solidly for the last 10-days. My kidneys didn't half hurt that day!!

Dead-stop Zerchers

Feck me these hurt my arms. Good though

YEP, on both counts! They caned my arms just with 100kg, but I'm thinking that maybe I'm just a soft arse.

Set Wayne Chowdrey's 190kg in your sights. That's something to aim for Eek

Me, well I'm setting you in my sights for zerchers!! Grin

Ah right. I alternate speed or deficits with heavy each week, with the speed lifts being about 75% of 1RM. Maybe that would be easier to fit into your routine, wouldn't it?

You know, looking at the routine again there's only weeks 1-2 when there are a lot of sets of speed work so I might just keep it as it is. I'm sure I can get away with just keeping up with the assistance work that I'm doing now. Thanks for the input mate, it's much appreciated. I've never had to even think about programming a routine myself.

First week in Jan - away we go!!! Happy

Tonight was a funny* (*read: s**t) old session - more of a mess around rather than a proper session....it is Christmas though after all.

Bench Press
60 x8
72.5 x4
80 x4
92.5 x2
105 x1
117.5x1
125 - F
100 x 5+6+6 - used a faster negative and a bit more bounce on the last 2 sets. No paused reps here! Grin
I tried the 125 on the basis that I might have increased my bench press by increasing my lat strength and overhead strength recently. It was a really epic fail! Roll-Eyes

Turkish Get-ups
20kg bar - 4x each arm - more awkward than difficult although I did feel that it tested the stability of my shoulder joint a bit

Overhead Tricep Press
20kg d/bell x8
30kg d/bell x6+6+5

Tricep Pressdown
Full Stack - 139kg supposedly (like bo***cks it is)
8+8+(8+10kg)

And you kept the weightlifting shoes on for an extra inch deficit. Very nice!

Enjoyed the show mind you!

Yeah, I noticed poor old Felix, he looked like a piece of frigging sandpaper when he finished!!

Cracking show. The axle press was my highlight. Bloody awesome that Loz was the world record holder for a few minutes, until Big Z decided to push himself for a change. (I really do wonder how much more he could press if he wanted.....and decided to put some leg drive into it)
