She was obviously very talented, but seemed heavily burdened with a need for drugs and alcohol that working in the music industry seems to celebrate and facilitate, rather than attempts to steer people away from.

Coupled with mixing with a bad crowd, an "interesting" husband et al. and it is very easy for life to overcome the most level headed of people. For better or for worse, she did more in her short life to change the world than any of us probably will.

Oh it's true. It's damn true.

I think there was a thread about this wherein he popped up and confirmed it.

What you need is some Allison Stokke.

Not a great athlete, but more than makes up for it in looks.

I made this porridge recipe recommended by Dan John (only I didn't fanny about with a slow cooker). I soaked sultanas in OJ over night, but I reckon soaking them in red bull/spike/etc. would reek of awesomeness. I also added a chopped up banana. It's good:

I actually do the pendlay back extensions over a preacher curl pad as it allows you to lean right over (because the pad wraps over the top) and cuts the input from you glutes and hamstrings right out.

As to my squat and deadlift difference, part of it is down to the fact that I am 6’ 7”. My arms aren’t that long. It’s odd as I am really skinny width ways, but quite thick front to back. Part is down to the fact that I am a skinny 98kg. Most is down to the fact that I have unfeasibly long femurs, which means that I have to drop half-a-mile to depth. Coupled with having weak legs, if I am honest. I am actually pretty good at Box squats, but suck at normal squats. I think as I train on my own in a squat rack (not a cage) that this inhibits me a little as feeling like you are getting folded over like a tin can by a heavy bar with no one to save you can make you ere on the side of caution.

For the reasons above, I will probably change my gym in September to one with a cage.
