I quite like it. However, it can be fooking boring. Wendler is a funny guy, who often writes well, but sometimes there is a very strong hint of "Scientology" about the people who follow it and the whole "we're strong, we're a community, let's pull-up and hill sprint our way to ultimate manliness" attitude that pervades it is f**king embarassing. | |||

I know some people love it, but I'd never stay down by the bar for that long - although you might prefer it that way. Lose the straps - you're a big man and don't need them and that is making you spend more time doubled over on the bar. Sit back a little more. Look up - I know some people push the benefits of looking down, but I find it tens to help round you over. Take everything I have said with a pinch of salt. | |||

Gay as it sounds I'd like to put on a few pounds and be in good shape by summer, whilst getting my squat and deadlift up. I just got bored with 531 (plus I changed jobs, moved about a bit etc.) and decided to start squatting three times a week, but do three different variations. I also felt that it would be cool do get my own bodyweight overhead at some point, hence my doing 2 OH days. | |||
