I beat my meat, then beat the mrs.

But seriously. I do get stressed sometimes at work, and then I think, for f**k sake it's only flooring. Not life or death. Used to be really bad with stress/anger. A lot better now. It is a shame some people feed off seeing stress and try to add fuel to the fire.

That tactic unfortunately doesn't work for me.

'I'm sooo stressed. Oh well, it's not life or death...Ohhh s**t...'

yesterday I went upstairs to find my 10 year old son (who is autistic) with his puffer jacket on , his backpack on (containing his avengers lego figures , plus instructions) ..he was also wearing his teenage mutant ninja turtles mask

he had opened the window and was on his bed , he informed me that he was about to go skydiving....

if i hadnt heard some thumping noises and gone to investigate , i cannot imagine what might have happened

nothing else stresses me out so much as worrying about my children !!

now, that is real f**king stress.......children (as in the worry they can cause) are very stressful....obvioul;sy even more so in your situ Boar

some very black and white attitudes towards stress on here..."just think about something else" is bo***cks...if you're a person who stresses, there is not much you can do about it I'm afraid

I stress about little TBH, mainly just money (as I have none) lol

Stress is a killer, if you are experiencing regular stress in your life I would strongly recommend you get rid of the source. Obviously Boar can't get rid of his Son, but you know what I mean.
We are only here once and we all have the power to change things in our lives, to make our lives what we want them to be.
If you are not happy, change it and get rid of the stress.

stress is good up to a certain amount. It's what drives us to achieve.

I've got the biggest exams/anything of my life in 2 minutes and if i wasn't stressed there's no way id pass.

Same with Mr_haz- Stress is what drives him to make the right decision when s**t goes crazy on the table!

Disagree.

I think you're talking about pressure. Pressure can be a really good tool, it helps me in a lot of things. But when the pressure is too much or you struggle to cope with it, it becpmes stress.

After all, according to the NHS, 'Stress is the feeling of being under TOO MUCH mental or emotional pressure'.

Stress can only ever produce negative results.

I agree with VG.

Just speaking for myself, drive and direction produce results. I don't necessarily like stress or get stressed by my job. People stress me out sometimes but work/study/exams and all that aren't stress, that's just stuff to do.

Agreed, stress is generally a persons pre-conceptions leading upto an event or situation.

Getting stressed doesnt change anything, i can hand on heart say that i dont get stresses by anything.

Angry and annoyed yes, but never stressed.

I find the best way to deal with stress is to squash those feelings. Screw them up into a little ball deep inside of you and keep them hidden from everyone. Tell nobody how bad or stressed your feeling and then put on a brave face.

Then RAHHHHHHHHHHHH explode like Mount f**king Vesuvius reigning terror on some poor c**t who's made the slightest remark and rubbbed you up the wrong way. Punch something and break your own hand, fall out with friends, upset your family, hurt those closest to you.

I've done the latter many many times in my life, but maybe the actual solution is just to talk about it. Let's face it, women piss us all off when they start weeping about s**t or go on and on and on about something which doesn't interest us at all but you rarely see them acting like neanderthals due to a little "stress".
