» Dieting is a monumental waste of time who agrees? (Go to post)07-09-2018 @ 17:06
I think most people should definitely aim to spend the majority of most training years in a small surplus or maintaining. Keep the cutting too a minimum.

However at roughly 30% body fat at 110kg you were probably right to cut.

The job you have now is to gain slowly, so you don't return to 30% and begin a cycle of yo yo dieting over the next few years. That can be a lot more damaging than one necessary cut. Gain slow, periodically trim up if needs be, continue gaining.

Far better to be in a consistent but small surplus for 6 to 9 months, than large uncontrolled bulks which simply end too fast.

Was out for a few drinks earlier this year chatting to this older guy. His topic of conversation was a Zombie Apocalypse...

He made the 'well intentioned' point that in the event of armageddon my muscles wouldn't get me very far, but his martial arts practice, sword and ninja outfit would put him in a good place.

Weeks later his missus (my masseuse) told me he got mugged on the way back that same night. She was picking bits of gravel out of his face for hours. Amusing.

Also, did anyone ever finally find out the height of Big Z?

I don't think we ever got past the question of how high 18" is.

Ralls is proper spit and sawdust outside the nice high-end PL gear (that gets locked up)
you won't find fancy GHRs, specialist bars or rows of racks + oly platforms there.
male to female trainer ratio is about 1 million : 1.
but... if dorian yates won olympia 6 times training out of a completely spartan place like temple,
then there should be more than enough for your bodybuilding needs.
plenty of cable/lever stack machines and oly plates, couple of 'ok' flat benches, racks
a decent forza decline bench and db up to about 80kg
3.50 on door. maybe 9/week.
when you planning to train in Leeds?

Could be next week Monday and Tuesday, just need confirmation.

Hey fellas,

Anyone know of a decent bodybuilding gym in Leeds?

I'll be there for a few days, so something pay-per-session would be ideal.

Hope everyone's well.
