Is it better to train deadlift and squat same day or not? been doing this twice a week since training for strength as i use to do these on different days when traing bodybuilding style.

I used to train separate now i train a form of Squat before Deadlifting. I believe Andy Bolton trains this way too.

I train em same day 2-3 times a week. Off course depends why your training the lifts

I always do em separately but pull PBs straight after the Russian squat routine so might start doing em same day lol

Squatting after Deadlifts = Bad Unhappy

Used to think that. However have now done plenty of squatting after deads to suprising effect. Off course your not gona be cracking pbs left right and centre, but you can certanly get some quality work in.

Same day for me. squats then deadlifts on a thursday and rack pulls after back on monday. works ok

I found doing them both on the same day worked well. Twice a week. Really helped my strength. Squats first though. Doing deads first can cause your lower back to be too weak to support the weight your reasonably fresh quads can handle, which is where you risk injury.. As i discovered!

For a while I squatted and deadlifted on the same day and both lifts progressed quite nicely. I see no harm in it.
