Friday
Tough day at work and a very s**t training session. Deadlifts going nowhere - everything feels like it weighs a ton. Grip terrible. Bench press down since last week.
When I could only get 105 X 9 on close grips, I knew it was time to go home.

Sunday Not too bad today. 160 for the front squat felt comfortable, so I might try a little more next week.
Had to listen to the Viva channel played at max volume all through my workout.
According to the Viva presenter, they were playing a "Top 20 so good that you won't need any other music ever again." I hate people sometimes.

The cat. The thing is that a bun doesn't have much of an offensive armoury. It's certainly no match for a cat's tearing beak and tentacles.

Continuing with my 5-3-1 program. The work set on deadlifts was tough, and I was pretty much f**ked after that. I enjoyed it, though. I was scheduled to do a fair bit more in terms of assistance work, but hey, who's counting?

Man, that top set of deadlifts was hard work. But I'm pleased with 192.5 X 9 at my current level. I do like this 5-3-1 routine. I seem to be packing size on with it too, even though that wasn't the aim.
125 X 8 on bench sucks, however.

I have no idea what this is doing in its place in your log, but it makes me love you a little more (difficult but just barely achievable).
