I see you use the small diameter plates for the DL. I only train with small diameter. It has a huge impact when it comes to Comp day. The extra 2 inches gives you at least 20kg on the platform.

Yes training with small diameter plates is awesome as it develops leg drive and also makes a normally loaded bar with the same weight feel stupidly easy which is a great mental boost.

Monday's "Fitness First Session done at Purbeck"

I felt OK to train my upper body on Monday despite the comp on the previous day.

Bench
  • 60K x 10
  • 70K x 10
  • 80K x 6
  • 82.5K x 5

  • 80K x 5


Also did some incline flies, CG pull downs, tricep rope and some curls.
