Here's the max squat prediction table Ross and Supersteel but I can't get the excel program template thing to copy on here so send me you email address via pm and I'll forward a copy to you and anyone else who's interested.

Had to delete it as it never came out right on here! Forward your email address and I'll send it to you.

Good session there Stephen. I shall pm you my e mail address shortly mate, cheers.

Out of interest what are your best raw lifts? Your obviously putting up some great numbers equipped and I always find it interesting to see how much people get out of equipment.

I'll email you later tonight when I get home from work.

Thing is I've never maxed out unequipped only equipped but the heavest I've gone in training unequipped is sq 210, b/p 160, d/l 255 but these were between 1-2 years ago. I'd only be guessing at what I could do unequipped max effort if I trained for it but I am stronger now than I was back when I done those lifts so I'd hope I could do more!

Strong lifts mate and yeah I'd imagine you would definately be capable of more now given how long ago those lifts were done!

Allen just realised that I only sort of answered half your question. I know the only true way to know how much you get from equipment is to max out unequipped and equipped and see what the difference is but I recon I get 50-60kg on the squat, 30-40kg on the bench and 0-5kg on the deadlift. My suit and shirt are fairly loose though as I can just slip the suit on in seconds and can get the straps up myself easily and i can just about get the shirt on myself, just need a hand to pull it down as the material bunches up but I'm sure if I wriggled about abit I could get it on myself no problem.
Guys who take it abit more serious usually need a hand and still struggle to get into there suits and shirts as there extremly tight which isn't for me!

What do you weigh stephen? Aren't you at all tempted by the 90s?

You can get ripped for summer and then after you win scottish U90 you can show off your abs down the beach all summer?

Weight varies alot, recently anywhere between 96-102kg really depends how much beer I've been drinking. If I was under 94kg I'd drop the weight and give it ago for sure! but it's too much to lose and I'd lose what little strength I have!

But I did do the scottish uksm qualifier in 2008 weighing around 90kg, managed to do all the events/move the weights and even pulled a 21 ton truck the full distance! I've even still got the t-shirt Grin . So f**k knows maybe if I dropped the weight slowly I could minimise the strength lose Confused .......no wait I'm too lazy I'll just stick to being a fat c**t! That's how it always starts a niggle that you can sort of put up with for a while and then it just gets worse eatig away at you, I've still got problems and need to do loads of warmups when I press. I also get tissues done once a month and am seeing a guy in oc health at work for ultrasound and I'm doing rehab and stretched and icing at home and I've only just started benching flat again first time in months! Maybe you should get it looked at amke sure it's a proper sports physio though, do not bother with GPs.

Aye will need to get it looked at as it's been bothering me since august last year and it's abit more than a niggle as I can't really hold my arm out straight without it being sore and it usually hurts when I train anything which is kinda hindering my progress, although some days it's not so bad and other's I have to stop as it's too sore. I have been doing a few things to rehab it which has helped but they don't seem to be curing the problem.
I went to a physio a couple of years ago about a back problem which she sorted pretty quickly so I'll probably just go back to her and see what she thinks.
Ross_Harkins
good session considering! defo get it treated early as longer you leave it worse it will be, trust me!

Trained this morning at home in the garden as it was a nice day.

Deadlift:
70x5
120x5
160x5
190x3 (belt on)
210x5
220x3
220x3

B/b bentover rows:
70x10
90x10
100x10

Front squat:
70x5
100x5
120x5
140x3
150x3

BTN P/P:
70x5
90x3
100x1
110x2

1st time doing these, what's the best way to bring the bar back down as I kept banging it on my upper spine?
ed209
u thinking about doing the uk qualifier i take it boss
Avatarmartinb
think you need to dip as you catch it, but your still gonna get a bit of a bash
Avatardrew
I martins right. Alternativly if you have a rack set up like oly lifting racks (so the racks to where you could unrack it and still dip with the press, chest height ish) you could unrack, press, lower to front (comfier), drop on bars, resetup behind and press again

if that makes sense. The one time I tried btn I did this as I didn't like the idea of it smashing into my spine. I quite like my spine you see
