Think the drinking comp was always going to be won by the scots, it was the only reason we turned up Grin Tongue . The hotel we were staying at kept serving us untill 06:00 in the morning, when we were asked to go to our rooms because the cleaners needed in to clean the bar Tongue Wink .

Thanks pal, will try using today as a bench mark to improve on over the winter.
Hopefully the guy I was training with will continue to come along as it's pish training alone and once
he gets used to the equipment I'm sure we'll push each other on abit. Cool

Bloody knackered helping two of my training partners with there suits/shirts.
Was thinking that I'd give myself some unequipped goals for the squat and bench to be done before xmas, like squat 190x5 and bench 140x5 (best is squat 185x4 and bench 140x3). Not sure what to set my goal with the deadlift, I'll decide after wednesdays training. Happy

Went to Dumbarton for some events training today.

Got close with the 115 just need to work at it abit more.

FW HOLD:
110's x47sec which is really good for me usually lucky to go over 20secs in grip events Happy .

Stones:
90fail whacked myself in the face trying to load it to a high platform Tongue Embarassed
90x1 to the shoulder to get it on the high platform.
stone run: 80, 90, 110, 130fail Couldn't get a good hold of it, too slippy.
130x1, 150fail
150x2fails Highest I got it was to my knees but couldn't lap it, need to work on stones more!

Solid session there Stephen! f**k knows how you manage to make progres like that on the events when you have been training them so little! Eek Your 'weaker' events seem to be picking up eh, will see you moving up the placings on comps next year for sure man!

Thanks Brian, Think the main thing with me is that I need to increase my gym strength which in turn improves my event training(without doing events much). Right now I'm making good progress on both gym and event training which is good as my training most of this year has been pretty crap, also find that improving on events makes me stronger in the gym. Grin
