Training is looking great buddy, be good to see you competing at some point soon.

I would say it was never technique as is never a problem it was increasing the loading at a sensible rep range or volume, in all honesty too much time spent on volume at heavy weights for too long resulted in stalling, I've made big changes to all my training now as I train instictively and vary the loading or the reps by feel - this is what has sparked progress for me again!

Sounds good buddy, it has obviously paid off massively. I like this training philosophy a lot, it's what I do now too and it has worked brilliantly thus bar.

Wow awesome deadlifting Ross! 300 should be no problem if your hitting 270 for 5!

What do you recon has helped your deadlift on so much after it stalled for so long?

Alright Ross, how's things mate?

Just had a read through your journal, your training is looking superb at the moment, squats moving along nicely and deadlifts amazing!

Are you doing all your training at this new place now or still squatting and deadlifting at the palace?

Ross_Harkins said:Cheers supersteel, heard you'd been and gone before I came in on Saturday.

Back squat low bar: 70kgx5, 120kgx4, 170kgx2, 2x2x190kg felt heavy but to be expected as only 4th week low bar, 1x5x160kg

Bench press: 70kgx5, 90kgx3, 110kgx1, 120kgx1, 130kgx1, 1x0x135kg missed RHS lockout shoulder flared, 1x0x135kg, missed in the middle

Next week will wave down squats and deadlifts apart from normal bench will keep pushing it and the declines and inclines for reps will build strength.

Yeah was in, should be in a lot more on weekends, probably be back this Saturday though not sure what time.

The squats are coming back nicely, like you say only a few weeks back doing low bar so you just need to be patient with them.
