Yeah mate I reckon you may have been able to do it, but I wasn't sure whether to let you carry on or not, as I wouldn't feel comfortable lifting 100 off you! Also wasn't sure whether you guys always say 'take it' or not.

lol if you can deadlift 140 I'm sure you can pull 100 2 inches with me still pressing underneath Wink Was only a rep set so doesn't matter anyway. I usually say take it if I know I've f**ked it up, otherwise I just fight until I get a light nudge.

Next time I will just nail it so you don't have to decide Wink

Nice one Rob - didn't doubt you'd get it. Was it hard enough for you not to be tempted to stick on another 2.5kg? Or was that just your renowned PB conservatism holding you back?

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments.

Tokar - there may well have been 2.5 more in there, but I couldn't really be bothered to find out. I went in there to bench 105 and I did it.. more in the tank for next time.

mate, do 6 more cycles of the russian routine and you will have 125kg bench by summer - why not?!?! Grin

...but dont even think of catching me, by that time i will have benched 5x130 and 1x132.5kg.

No no! I have trained with the fat one many a time - I too know that the decent stage of his first rep often takes longer than many peoples complete workout. I just find it constantly amusing! :lol:

Okay, had a few days off training for the first time in a while - looking forward to getting back into it. This is the plan from Tuesday (days may change around at Christmas time if touring Lancashire gyms).

As you will see there is little plan with the squats - just have to take it as it goes. If it [adductor] doesn't sort itself out soon then I've got details of a good physio to see.

Oh, and there will be curling twice a week throughout December. Have a bet on with Joni regarding whos arms are bigger first session back in 2007.
