I was going to ask you, don't the possible health effects make you stop and think, "Why the hell am I doing this?"
No hate Sam, just interested. I'm sure you'll reach your goals, and each to their own and all that.

Yes and no for me re the health risks. Obviously I consider them but most things in life come with an element of danger (most fun things anyway) living your life in fear sounds pretty s**t to me.

Guy that runs my gym had an "mot" check as he put it and everything was completely normal.

He uses little now and never comes off (used to use loads). He is also over 50 and is in good shape.

Eats pretty clean and does some fitness work along with his bodybuilding.

With all due respect the first part of your post is horses**t. A 10ml syringe doesn't lift f**k all by itself. I still had to spend 15 hours a week in the gym and stuff myself with 10K calories a day and 500g protein per day (a lot of cows were sacrificed so I could bench big) and deal with countless injuries to bench 240kg+ raw! PEDs help LOADS but it was me that benched that PB not a syringe. For every modest level lifter on them there are 20 idiots that take loads, go out on the piss multiple times a week and eat next to f**k all and the majority of these have yet to sniff their first 3 plates-a-side bench. By what you're saying every clown that knows how to stick a needle in his arse would be repping 5 wheels!

That's not what I said whatsoever

However if you choose to interpreted that way then that's fine by me

Some people like to swim downstream to go fast or use flippers... That's fine as long as it doesn't effect others I guess

As you have said there are lots of reasons people take gear

Which brings me back to my original point - using flippers is fine as long as the competition is also doing so and the rules of the competition permit it. If you're on, then compete untested and don't be a wa**er.

If people use gear as a life choice and not against any sporting rules. f**k all wrong with that in my opinion.

If people cheat others by using when they shouldn't, that is bad form.

Ive always stayed clean but trained with a lot of assisted lifters and friends in the past and what I can say is gear makes a huge difference. Just to clarify using gear dosent mean you dont work hard and geared users may work as hard as the hardest working nattys, thats down to the individual not the drug.

What is true however is it makes a huge difference and makes lifts a lot easier with less work of course than it would natural. Of course at the top end all lifters work hard regardless.

I have no problem with using or not, i just wish it was open and everyone was honest about it.

I want, with my admin hat on, to thank basically everybody in the thread for being grown-ups. This is the best drug thread we've had here imo, and that's because people aren't being dicks and some are being very open, honest, balanced, and helpful indeed (looking especially at Sam here).

This thread has been good reading thanks to those who talked openly. Thank you.

There is a naivety amongst new lifters and it's a kick in the balls when the truth comes out..

I have accepted that unless you are extremely talented then to be competitive you need to be on juice as there are just too many `genetic freaks' out there in open and local comps ie not national or above level that it's hard to believe anything different in my opinion as of recent.

Thanks again for being honest as I can't understand the silence surrounding ped use when there is feds which openly allow it

results are very person dependent though. i know some people who have added 100kg to their total, and some who have barely added 30kg

Absolutely

Not many guys in the world can lift as much as you regardless of supplementation!
