looks like there banning for 4 years now

10 tests were carried out in Dundee, Scotland 19/4/15 and all but one were negative. Mr Ilya Golub’s sample contained substances consistent with the administration of stanozolol, which is prohibited. He has therefore been banned for a period of four years effective from 27/5/2015.

Earlier this year an historical case came to light from a test carried out at a junior squad session in 2011. The test sample from Mr Louis Beaumont contained substances consistent with the administration of prohibited substance norandrosterone, but had not been referred to the Disciplin
ary Committee (DC) and was reported as negative in the testing summary for 2011. Mr Beaumont has therefore been banned for a period of two years effective from 7/5/15. The DC has also considered the available evidence, including email answers from the GBPF official responsible at the time and ruled that a serious offence had been committed by Mr Arthur Hoey. A lifetime ban from the GBPF has therefore been imposed.”

The 4 year ban period has filtered down from WADA (they increased it from 2 to 4 years last year).

It looks like Louis's failed test was covered up....?
Poor form that official!

Very poor from the official, shame about Louis as he is a decent lad and a good lifter.

The constant nose bleeds did give it away a little though!!

He was very open about it when he trained at cage steel once.

Also poor form - If he's going to cheat, he could have had the decency to lie about everything to everyone at the very least!

Just curious, when exactly was that? The test was 4 years ago, was it before or after that he was open about it?

I WAS inclined to believe that due to the lengthy detection time of the substance, and the fact it was 4 years ago and he hadn't been a member of the GBPF all that long... he could have taken it as young as 17 years old, then stopped and joined the GBPF. The amount detected was so little, that the test was determined to be inconclusive and they gave the benefit of the doubt. For something like nandrolone, this would suggest use had stopped a considerable amount of time before the test.

I was also inclined to believe an empathetic official could have recognised this, and covered it up because he was just a stupid kid who made a bad decision before he joined the GBPF, however wrong that might be!

However if he's been bragging about using it all along, then I shall disregard the above BULLs**t!

Be around 4/5 years ago now I remember he came down with Liam hunt (Bruce) he was pretty strong and mentioned taking steroids I then got told after he lifted in the GBPF.

No issue what so ever with people taking gear but go in the correct FED

I can also think of another GBPF lifter that trained with us at the junction that also talked about gear and had some records in GBPF, he has changed sports now though.

GBPF is rife with it from the few lifters I have met and trained with

Taking gear, stopping, and then joining the GBPF is a grey area. But if he was a member at the time, then he is quite naughty isn't he!
