Small hitch at the top I think you would fail on but still a great lift, whats the target for the end of the year then?

Nice 225 mate.

Think hips through when the bar comes past your knees for the lock out.

Yeah lockout felt hard for sure and this is something I need to address if I want to keep going up.

Re the hitch that would be me having a weak lock out so we will need to carry on with those hip thrusts you enjoy too much Grin
As far as targets go I did not set any for deadlift so I would say "sky is the limit" but a 240kg would be a great achievement. Doable?

Weight: 105.9kg (after work out around 7.00pm)

Training with Bim
Squat and deadlift session

Stretch

Warm up for squat
x10 with bar
x5 at 60kg
x3 at 100kg

Actual work
x1 at 130kg
x1 at 140kg
x1 at 150kg
x1 at 160kg
x1 at 170kg
x3 at 162.5kg --> slow movers

Warm up for deadlift
x5 at 60kg
x3 at 100kg

Actual work
x3 at 160kg
x3 at 170kg
x3 at 180kg

--> back tender tonight

General feeling:
All in all slow session in terms of movement. I focused on lockout on the deadlifts and I reckon the squats felt harder than necessary due to back still recovering from Friday' session.

X1 at 70kg
X1 at 70kg
X1 at 70kg
x2 at 80kg --> slow movers
x2 at 80kg --> slow movers
x2 at 80kg --> slow movers

Close grip
x5 at 65kg --> last two were slow moving
x5 at 65kg --> last two were slow moving

Incline chest press (machine)
x8 at 30kg
x8 at 30kg
x8 at 40kg
x8 at 40kg

Regular chest press (machine)
x8 at 70kg
x5 at 80kg
x5 at 80kg

General feeling:
The f*ck up on loading threw me out and I lost focus. Tried different machine and exercises but felt like nothing suited. At the moment bench and I disagree and I need to sort it out.

Actual work
x1 at 130kg

front squat --> first time doing them
x5 at 60kg
x5 at 80kg
x5 at 100kg

box squat
x3 at 140kg

General feeling:
the front squat gave me a weird feeling as they did feel hard on the last set but I could not say which part felt hard: bottom or mid section. The set up is all new to me and I have to say it will take time to adjust but front squats will stay on my list from now on.

Food now:
Doing s**t according to the scale and the 3h return trip to The British Masters with a more experienced lifter was an opportunity to talk diet and I will follow the pieces of advice given in the car (eat more meal but clean ones) and see where it leads me.

enjoyed this session and what a relief! Not been happy with benching in the recent past but this session has had some good impact. Next week I will be back with Bim for some bench tutoring.

If you want to do a heavy single it's probably best before your rep work. Nice session, we'll get you to 100 in no time.

Decided to get lessons to improve my bench and my teacher told me to do x6 sets of x3 reps at a tough weight so in preparation I picked 70kg.

I might copy your idea of putting in a bit of information about diet and general feeling in a journal. Good way of keeping track of things that might be having an impact (positive or negative) on training.

x5 at 70kg
foam rolling
x5 at 70kg
foam rolling
x5 at 75kg
foam rolling
x5 at 75kg

General feeling:
Enjoyed this session. Found the first three 170kg squats easier than Monday --> would that be because I have been eating more pasta (small amount but everyday) on purpose?

Leg curls were really enjoyable and felt the whole hamstring working -> *bliss*
