Training with Bim
Deadlift and quick bench session

Stretch

Warm up for deadlift
x5 at 60kg
x3 at 100kg

Actual work
x3 at 140kg
x3 at 180kg
x3 at 200kg --> not happy with last re...
x1 at 200kg --> ...hence this rep!
x3 at 160kg
x5 at 160kg

accessory work
SLDL
x3 at 160kg
x3 at 170kg
x3 at 180kg

hip thrusts (smith machine)
x10 at 100kg
x10 at 150kg
x8 at 150kg

Bench
x10 at bar
x5 at 60kg
x5 at 60kg
x5 at 60kg
x5 at 70kg
x8 at 70kg

General feeling:
Deadlift felt harder than they have been in the past at the same weight --> surely missing x2 dead sessions did not help. Hip thrusts becoming a tiny bit more "enjoyable" but still pretty painful stuff. Bench felt good.

Weight: 107kg --> digital scale at gym broken so used mechanical scale I have at home, reliability to be proven

Training alone
Squat and deadlift session

Stretch

Warm up for squat
x10 with bar
x5 at 60kg
x3 at 100kg

Actual work
x5 at 110kg
x5 at 130kg
x5 at 145kg
x2 at 170kg

front squat
x5 at 60kg
x5 at 80kg
x5 at 100kg

Warm up for deadlift
x5 at 60kg
x3 at 100kg

Actual work
x5 at 135kg
x5 at 155kg --> right hip getting painful
x5 at 175kg --> right hip definitely painful

General feeling:
Weight has been going up recently and I am not happy about that: ME is to blame - innit. Meals have been clean today and I intend to keep them this way as long as I can and the results should be seen.

Enjoyed today's session and I decided to increase the reps (is that my new cardio?) in order to get more work done. We will see were it brings me.

Training with Bim
Bench session only

Warm up for bench
x10 with bar
x5 at 30kg

Actual work
x5 at 40kg
x1 at 70kg
x3 at 80kg
x3 at 80kg
x3 at 80kg
x3 at 80kg
x3 at 80kg --> the very last rep was a looooooooong grind, it nfelt like nothing was moving

Dumbell press
x10 at 12kg --> lots of wobble and fight to stabalise weight
x10 at 14kg
x10 at 18kg
x10 at 20kg --> way more stable

Seated row
x10 at 45kg
x10 at 50kg
x10 at 60kg
x10 at 70kg

Lat pull down - wide grip
x10 at 45kg
x10 at 70kg --> real struggle
x10 at 60kg --> more manageable fight

Lat pull down - narrow grip
x10 at 50kg
x10 at 60kg
x10 at 70kg

Dips
x5
x5
x5

General feeling:
Well this was a really enjoyable session and looking at the weights on dumbell press + lat pull down it was more a matter of focusing on how it should feel rather than pilling on the heavy stuff.

The bench itself felt good and the fight on the very last rep felt like it was going on for ages. I like the high number of sets.

Weight: 107kg --> used the "butcher' scale at the gym and had clothes on
with clothes it stated 108kg
industrial scale at work this am said 109kg (fully dressed and after breakfast)
--> I would say that 107kg is bob on!

Training alone
Squat and deadlift session

Stretch

Warm up for squat
x10 with bar
x5 at 60kg
x3 at 100kg

Actual work
x3 at 120kg
x3 at 135kg
x3 at 155kg
x4 at 170kg

Warm up for deadlift
x5 at 60kg
x3 at 100kg

Actual work
x3 at 145kg ---> back killing me so called it a day

General feeling:
The 5hrs I spent landscaping and gardening left some scars and the deadlift was the salt on the open wound.

Very poor session in terms of what I did but I thought "What would you rather do: carry on in pain, kill your back for some stupid ego reasons OR stop now and come back later when the temple your body is is well rested and performing as it should?"

Choice made!

x1 at 70kg
x4 at 80kg
x4 at 80kg
x4 at 80kg
x4 at 80kg
x3 at 80kg --> failed the fourth rep and rolled it onto the floor

Dumbell press
x10 at 20kg
x10 at 22kg
x10 at 24kg

Seated row
x10 at 45kg
x10 at 50kg
x10 at 60kg
x10 at 70kg

Lat pull down - wide grip
x10 at 45kg

x10 at 65kg

Lat pull down - narrow grip
x10 at 50kg
x10 at 60kg
x6 at 70kg

Dips
x5
x5

General feeling:
Lat pull down still feel like I am not doing them properly as I feel them more in my shoulders than anywhere else.

The whole bench affair was weird: I warmed up on a thin, spinny bar as the thick and solid ones were taken at the time. I then pounced on a thick one and did the work with it. Did that throw me off?

Nice pb tonight, I think you need to work on your victory bellow though.

Still finding lat work weird as I feel it more on shoulders and forearms than in my lats &rt; am I just weird?

Feel good on those sessions. Still a bit ashamed of my double digit max though. One day the triple digit will be mine, one day...
