Where did you go on your hols?

I hear you on your cold. I've had one for a week. Not too bad but a pain nontheless. On wed blew my nose in the gym toilet and nearly fell over as it mucked up my inner ear and balance lol

was on holiday in wales near barmouth, rented a cottage in the grounds of liverpool hope university's outdoor adventure centre,20 acres of woodland all to ourselves .did some cool rocky style training in the woods ,fallen tree deadlift and log loading and pressing!
as far as the cold goes it's not too bad only notice it when youtry and do something physical!

probably the s**test session I have ever had tonight, really struggling with this cold.

worked up to 80k pushpress followed by a couple of abject fails at 90k, decided pushpress was'nt happening decided to swap to strict press and proceeded to fail to press 60k 3 times
threww the toys out of the pram and called it a day went inside .Then decided that i would be better off going and doing something no matter how light so did a little tricep curcuit of dipsx10 close grip benchx10 and skullcrushersx10 felt better for doing it.
Trying to not get too depressed about the s**tness of my pressing it should come back once Ive fought off this cold!

cheers mate !

felt much better today , still coughing up phlem but the worst of this cold is over!

deadlifts 60kx5 80kx5 100kx3 120kx1 140kx1 160kx1 180kx3 190kx8
18" rack pulls 200kx1 225kx1 then back said no!
stones lapped 115k x5
probably shouldnt call the the 190kx8 a pb as it was probably the longest set known to man
same old problem felt bloated and could'nt get my breath,I have a mental block about deadlifting i always worry I havent eaten enough and end up stuffing a bowl of oats down my gob 20 minutes before starting training and then feel bloated to f**k and cant catch my breath!

lost 2 reps below the knees because my s**tty bent bar rolled in my hands so i know there is more there once this cold has finally f**ked off!

concentrated on just lapping the stone today because 1, that is my weakness if i lap it first time i can load it with no problems if i f**k about taking 3 or 4 attempts its a nightmare to load and 2,Ive cut up my loading platform to make my yoke!

bodyweight 89.9k this morning bollock naked

ice-baths are no one's friend. Still; more than double bodyweight deads for 8 on a s**tty bar is outstanding. On a decent bar and all fit and well you must be on for a deadlift pb. Ok, it's not a bench, but still.....Grin

cheers mate going to try 200k for max reps next week ,but i might try and do it at the farm in northampton on a decent bar! like you say it's not bench though !

today 30 minutes run followed by 5 x100 meter sprints fastest being 12.91 seconds olympics here i come!(I was actually quite pleased with this as it's only a second slower than i managed at school when i was a f**king gazelle!
