Good luck with the targets mate. Careful with the shoulder, though, you don't want to f**k it up like i have mine. Particularly as bench press looks like the target which which might require most work, as Malc says, though all well achievable.

good goals Ed...

sound idea on the DL, a few moderately heavy lifts every now and again, along with pushing up your squat should do the trickHappy

My left shoulder I injured over a year ago and left it for a year, then my shoulder and lat seized up, causing me mobility problems so i couldn't squat. (Ironically it didn't stop me benching) Basically it's an impingement in my shoulder which means i can't fully straighten my arm. Looks a bit weird. I am getting physical therapy for it, but have done no proper benching or pressing for a couple of months. Do i wish i'd looked after them better. It was a case of 'i've never been injured, what can go wrong?' Now i know. Will be back benching soon, i think, it's on the mend.

glad its on the mend Bill

training tonight front squats 102.5kx5 112.5kx4 failed 5th 112.5kx4 112.5kx4 105kx5

deadlift 60kx3/3 80kx3 100kx3 11okx3 120kx3

not sure whether to be dissapointed or pleased with the front squats tonight
the plan was 1 set of 112,5k x5 ,I dont know what I was doing wrong but I just couldnt hold onto the bar ,I definitely had the leg strength but I could'nt keep the bar on my shoulders fpr the 5th rep ,having said that I'm pretty pleased with 3 sets of 4 ,went very steady with the deads and am pleased to report no back pain!

Trained at the Farm in Northampton with Finch and Lurkio

squats 120x5 130x5 140x5 145x5 120x5 much better depth wise than last week according to my spotter 20% definitely in 20% definitely out and the rest borderline which for me is good!
power cleans 30x3 40x3 50x3 60x3 70x3 80x3 90xfail bit of a chat with Dennis the olympic lifter then 90x2 60x3/3/3/3

got some good tips of Dennis who is an ex ukrainian now English olympic lifter95k class.tried the hook grip for the first time which is going to take some getting used to. By the end of the session i actually felt like I was getting it just need to practice the technique for a few weeks then start upping the weight.
Good to catch up with the lads from the farm enjoyed tonight a lot!
