How long does the programme run for Sam? Is there a peak at the end? What is the goal?

5 weeks each programme. The peak will come Wink I go away on Wednesday for 2 weeks modelling on the beach in Cyprus so I miss most of this programme.

The overall goal is decreased risk of injury, mobility and strength GAINZ

Good work Andy.

What do you think Sots presses will help with, if anything?

I think it will help positions and flexibility 100%. I could feel it pushing me around into crazy positions!

I tried it and couldn't press an empty bar, it just immediately highlighted how inflexible I was

Try a strict press from the front in the same position Andy, not a chance in hell I could do that either

I thought Sots press was from the back?

Then tried them from the front, just thought that was called a 'press in clean'

I think a Sots press is from the front Robbo. Not sure what behind the neck is called. Klokov press?

Jeff, I wish I was American.

I think the 'press in snatch' or 'squat snatch press' is often called the Sots Press (which I believe is incorrect). The 'press in clean' is the Sots Press.

The name comes from USSR weightlifter Viktor Sots who has supposedly done an impressive 160kg in the lift. How much truth there is in that I don't know. Unless I've seen it in person on YouTube I tend not to believe it. Wink
