Guys. Most of you know me and bits of what I've done. For those that were in attendance yesterday I can only say it was a complete honour and privelige lifting with you, and those that stayed for the 100's of Guinness later, well I only spent £40 allnight so thanks for the beers. Anyone still with us after 10PM I can only apologies for any comments about shagging your mams, wives or sisters. I really dont recallEek

Anyway, we had in attendance at least one guy with a serious sporting heritage who was so blown away by the comp that he has agreed to put on another identical comp in the summer. Date TBC but I'll keep you posted. A lot of introductions were made on the day and this has all the potential to become something special.

Good news is I got the French serial killer so pissed and stoned last night that he was in no fit state to kill me and the mrs. RESULT!

6 attempts. 4 would be PB's. PB cln. PB pull. I aint sadGrin

Congratulations to all involved. The organisers, competitiors and those just watching, reporting, videoing etc etc, it looks like you all had a great time and I really must make an effort to get up next time.

I will but I doubt that would stop you. :P In my defence I dont overhead lift and my previous lift was a 10kg pr (a 25% increase!) so to have gotten 60 would have been pretty good in my book. I would like to see the video though, but not too many times!

Just noticed, I didn't come last, alright Alex only deadlifted but that's just a technicality. :P

nice one for the photos & article!

Really goes to show what a team effort all this was, starting from the idea to hyping it up on the forum, inviting lifters, arranging the venue, organising rules, lifting orders, loading and reffing, scoresheets, photos, videos, getting goodies from Met-rx and all the rest, fantastic.

Awesome day, sorry for pussying out of the C&J, didn't bring my shoes or have chance to try them out so I wasn't going to lift at all, was too much to take just watching you all though...

Martin was a great MC as usual, some cracking lifts from everyone, great atmosphere. It's an example of why weight/powerlifting is so great, everybody cheering each other on to get PBs, none of the bulls**t you get in other sports.

Cool

Thanks for the vids boar. Yesterday was certainly THE best day of lifting I have ever experienced. I sometimes need to take a step back and realise what a huge honour and privilege it is to lift on the same platform with such accomplished lifters who take the time to help me and others out. Not only that but to have a coach like Alan is something most people can only hope of, for all this I am very thankfull. Great to hear that mish had a great time yesterdayTongue.

Can't wait for the next meet.Happy
