Everything felt fantastic, accept the first 190 attempt, I was high and got a little off-balanced. Second attempt was fast and easy. Really wanted to try 195/200 but I was already running late and had to leave. Definitely had more there.

really?

Been ferociously ill this week, still no training. Down to about 87kg bodyweight though.

Unlikely to last a week if it was noro, 48hrs at best unless you're very unlucky

Ferocious was an overstatement; I'm sure that brings connotations of projectile release of various fluids. But no, it was just the flu. I'm over most of it, just still coughing like a motherf**king b**ch.

Anyway, FINALLY got back in the gym today. Was pleasantly surprised. 4 weeks off, post-flu, and lost 5kg of body weight.

Squat: 160x1
OHP: 60x2
Bench: 100x1
Deadlift: 200x1

Why not go back on something like SS to get your numbers up quickly again?

I'm surprisingly not that concerned with numbers right now. I'm really, really bored of SS type stuff at the moment. I want to try something different, and also want short sessions, which means short rests, which means lower numbers for me. I'll be super-setting these assistance lifts as well to save more time.

Push day.

DB Bench:
20x8
25x7
32.5x5x3

Bench: (was supposed to be incline, but I was working in with someone)
57.5x5
77.5x5
77.5x4
77.5x3
(these were all hard; very short rest and immediately after the DB benching)

Dips:
BWx8x2

Seated DB Press:
10x10
15x10x3

Standing barbell tricep extension:
30x12x3

Lateral Raises: (who the f**k thought up this monstrosity of an exercise?)
10x5f
8x6f
6x5f

Pushdowns:
60x12x2

Cable Crossover:
15x12
20x9
15x10

Legs

Squats:
60x8
100x5
140x3x3

SLDL:
60x5
90x5
120x3
140x5x2

Lunges:
25kg (db in each hand) x 5 (per leg) x 2 (sets)

Leg Curls:
40x12x2

Calf Raises: (on the leg press)
150x10
140x10x2

Everything was hard, except the leg curls and calf raises. Feeling weak. I've been coughing my lungs up for the past 3 weeks now, lots of multi-coloured mucus. Lungs are way down on capacity, and these workouts are exhausting me a lot.

Maybe you should see a doctor.
