Well let's hope it's more memorable for him. Maybe it will remind him to dislodge his head from his arse. Grin

Tube strike has prevented me from going in to town. I still need find some tools and bolt up my squat rack before I can train at home. I've brought my barbell inside to keep it warm, should I feel the urge to train at home (I haven't yet, lol). I'll probably just train Tues and Weds.

132.5kg x 5

Bench

50kg x 5

Squat (beltless)

65kg x 5
82.5kg x 5
100kg x 5
100kg x 5

OHP

27.5kg x 5
32.5kg x 5
40kg x 5
42.5kg x 5

Deadlift (PR*)

60kg x 5
100kg x 3
140kg x 2
160kg x 1
170kg x 3*
170kg x 3*

Chin-ups

BW x 7
BW x 5
BW x 7
BW x 6

Power Shrugs

60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 3
180kg x 3
200kg x 3

Squats and OHP were very easy. Squats were ATG and OHP is on a reset so they were very easy indeed.

170kg was my previous 1RM a few months back, so it feels good to be doing it for sets now. I'm 86kg now, so it's almost double body weight for sets.

I decided to play around with shrugs a bit, never done them before. I couldn't do these weights with strict shrugs, so I heaved them up with a pretty short ROM. Too heavy tbh, but I just wanted to try them out.

That'd be great, but I'm gonna keep milking this 5kg/week progress whilst I've got it in me. Grin

What I'll probably end up doing is, when this stalls I'll do a deload week and then shoot for a 1RM the following week. 200kg would be nice for now.

I am contemplating driving a car bomb into you f**kers next weekend.

NETFS has a 186% competition ratio this year but NWTFS was only oversubscribed by 6 people, down from their 190% ratio last year. Current prediction is that it's because you idiots decided to crash our medical school after being scared you weren't good enough for your own Angry

Don't know exactly what did it, but my abs are really sore today. I think the power shrugs are bit too much on my discs. One thing I forgot to mention in my OP, I've got disc and facetal degeneration, and an anterior step of L5 over S1. I've had sciatic pains in both legs (not at the same time), off and on for about 5/6 years now, long before I ever started lifting.

It comes and goes, but some things irritate it more than others. Violent explosive olympic lifts irritate it a lot, and I've had to mostly stop doing them unfortunately. OHPing with dodgey form is troublesome too.

I think the power shrugs yesterday are not a good idea. If I decide to become a Shrug Thug, they will be a bit more strict and controlled in future.

The good thing is, deadlifting and squatting seems to help the most, especially deadlifting.
