Bench press

145x2 failed for a 3rd rep

I think part of the problem here was I did too many reps with the bar. My chest just seems to inflate when I train, its always pumped up very easily and today with the extra set it felt pumped and a little fatigued. However, it is also clear that what Im doing for bench isnt working so I am DEFINATELY going to do something else next training cycle. I highlighted DEFINATELY as I have already said it before and didnt change it.

Close reverse grip bench press
60x8
100x6
100x6
100x6

Underarm chins
Bodyweightx8
30x6
30x6
30x6 these felt very strong

Bent over barbell rows
100x8
157.5x8
150x8 again, these felt very strong, but I reckon that was because I was so pissed off with the bench.

About 5mins of rotator cuff work.

T, what I do next all depends on how long between the qualifiers and the british. If I have long enough I will do a Lain cycle. If not I will work more on triples.

A good session today. Deads felt good even though this is only the second time I have deaded since 18/11/07. The 3x3 was a pb. The holds I was pleased with as well. Apparently the British unequipped record in the dead is 305 so I will go 305.5 if there are referees of a high enough standard, I think they have to be national level as opposed to divisional level for it to be ratified as a record. I got some videos so I will have a tinker with the camcorder and pc and try to get them up as soon as I can.
