solid lifting Phil, and if its not going to stay on the back then dump it i say it not worth doing damage especially when you have a comp round the corner

Dump away I say! Do you get in trouble for that at your gym?

Nice calf raises again Tongue

Why thank you Doc. No pb on these though Unhappy Happy

I was suprised I didnt get in trouble actually. It made a hell of a bang. I was just glad it didnt hurt anyone near me. I actually didnt dump it as such, as that makes it sound like I did it on purpose, I just fell out of groove and it fell off.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, luckily I didnt hurt myself as a friend of mine in the gym rightfully pointed out. I dont5 very often miss reps in the gym but as you know, squat is the worst exercise to miss a rep on.

Or skullcrushers!

Strong double Phil. Not tempted to go back and single the 270kg just for the sake of the volume? Or are you too close to comp now?

No mate, not at all tempted. Dont think I would gain anything from doing that as Ive done all my heavy stuff now any way. More a case of ticking over now and making sure Im fresh. Volume is now being decreased.

45x8
35x10 last rep paused

40x6
55x6
72.5x6 pb, I await a barrage of sarcasm and piss taking Grin

lol. In all honesty though Phil, that's some weight you're shifting on the curls!

Tonights session:

Deadlifts, all dead stops
60x15
120x10
180x6
220x3
250x2 belt, suit and wrist straps on
280x3 pb

These felt so explosive and good. I had to use wrist straps as my hand is still cut between hand and finger. I got greedy and went for a 4th which hardly moved.

Rack pulls from knee height, with wrist straps, all paused reps
305x3 pb

Weighted crunches
+30x31 pb

Its really awkward to use more weight on crunches as I need some strong tape to tape plates together and didnt have enough. And the 20kg discs are too big and awkward so I have to use 2 15kg discs together. It is too awkward to hold 3 discs together as they just slip about.

Thanks Titch. Its good to have pbs on every lift otherwise I just get complacent and think "oh Ill just do 3 sets of 10 on 50" and never really improve.
