Tonights training: Bench press 20x20 40x12 last rep paused 60x10 " 80x8 " 100x6 " 120x3 " 140x1 paused 150x3 pb 140x6 = pb 6" board press, all paused 140x3 165x2 failed a 3rd Bodyweight chins x12 x12 x12 x12 f**king hand has ripped open again so only light back work. I was well pleased with the bench pbs, a perfect confidence booster before the worlds. The 3 with 150 was solid, I contemplated doing another rep but dont really want to be doing grinders, it would have been a 50/50 rep. There is something to be said I think for warming up very thoroughly. I got to the gym 15mins before my my training buddies to secure the decent bar. As I was there on my own for a bit I did some light rotator cuff work and good mornings and did more warm ups than normal and I felt fantastic for it. My next session will be some cardio tomorrow am as I havent had a chance to do any recently. Then squats and deadlifts thursday, then light bench/ maybe back work on sunday. | ||
