So the workout is:

AMRAP 20 (oh dear that's a long time!)

25 foot overhead walking lunge with 43kg
8 Bar facing burpees
25 foot overhead walking lunge with 43kg
8 Chest to bar pull ups

I've never really trained overhead walking lunges so this is going to be interesting!

Came in to have a quick play this morning.

Did all except the CTB pull ups in 1:31.

A round every 2 minutes would be very good from what I can tell...

Popped into the gym tonight.

Did:

A single muscle up! Was going to do a session of these but decided against it. Shoulders would be very beat up and I can focus on them next week.

Power Snatch TNG
up to 60 3
70 3
80 3 All comfy, just keeping my bar cycling up a bit

Then did 2 full rounds of the Open wod.
Took me 3:40 almost exactly. Chest to bar pullups are the thing that'll catch me out if I'm not careful. Must avoid any real standing round between reps.

Pace felt right though so will go for that on Sunday!

Finished off with front squats
Up to 100 2
120 2
140 2 most I've repped in a while!

Did my open wod yesterday

Not a good one at all

210 reps.

Crap. Might sneak top 500 in the country on it if I'm lucky!

Oh well, on to the next one!

10 ab roll outs

got 6 full rounds and 40 extra double unders.
400 reps exactly.

Went and did the open WOD again today.

Paced it to perfection, shame I was broken from yesterday still and hit 1 rep less!! Crap.

Oh well, live and learn! On to the next one I guess............ Unhappy

16.1 was a grinder, for sure. My burpees were shamefully slow Tongue .
8+ rounds is still a decent showing, right up there with guys around here that train pretty damn hard. You'd be top 70 in Switzerland, FWIW. Grin

I reckon the rest of the wods will be shorter and more in your wheelhouse.

Cheers Macroth, I was gutted for a bit tbh but really it just wasn't something I'm good at yet. It's the whole point of the sport, that you're fit enough to take on anything, so I now have something I need to work on!

Saw you had a go yourself too, bloody miserable wasn't it!?

Felt battered on Tuesday so rested until last night in the gym:

4 rounds of:
30 double unders
6 Muscle ups (rings)
2 min rest
Shoulders are a mess so these were tough but felt do-able. Typically did 2 sets of 3 in the MU.

Snatch
up to 90 but failed 93. Could barely stabilise the weight at all overhead. Oh well, try again another day.

Toes to bar
25 PB by 8 reps?? Used a narrower grip and it helped. Just need to keep putting work in with these and they'll end up a strength.

4 mins to start.+4 mins every round you complete.

Got to round 3 and got 1 clean. 254 reps. Bloody hard!!!

Toes to bar went from crap to awful and it lost me a lot of time in that third round. Had the legs to get all those cleans which would have been a good score!

Also did 4x10 dips
4x10 strict pull ups
Some KB curl stuff
Press ups for the pump.

Need to do more accessory stuff

Indeed, I expect the cleans would have been fine for you, even a few at 124! My t2b are crap as well and my DU's can come and go; I hope I make it to the 3rd round at least but now you really have me worried. Tongue

Haha! That second round is deceptively tough. Those cleans get heavy fast, particularly when your midline is fried from 50 T2B!
