Miserable erg this morning.

Wanted 4x1km @ 1:39.9 pace with 5 min rest.

Did the first 2 and then just couldn't get my head on starting again. Too much booze and not enough sleep is what I'm blaming. Felt asleep the whole time!

This morning:

Open wod 14.5

21-18-15-12-9-6-3 of Thruster 42.5kg + Bar facing burpees
Capped it at 12 mins
Got through round of 9 for thrusters and 6 of the burpees in that round.
So had 21 reps left.

Not a great performance really. Should be looking for sub 11 mins on this.

21 cal row (1500-1550 cal/hr or 1:38 ish pace)
15 box jumps (24")
9 24kg kettlebell STOH each arm

Good hard work.

Paced it a bit because I wanted to focus most on the pull ups and muscle ups

Pull ups were OK. Did them in sets of 8 and technique got better throughout

Finished all but muscle ups in 12:00, should have been more than enough to get 4/5 muscle ups but I couldn't do it. Didn't like the setup and couldn't quite get myself over. Gutted... Should be good enough for this now.

Hung around for a few more mins then did 2. Have to be able to do them when knackered!

Stopped after 2,200 @1:45 pace. Criminal. Not even particularly destroyed, should have finished.
had about 45s rest, set the machine to 800 and finished at the same pace.

Silly. Frustrating.

Nice! 30 strict HSPU's would be pretty massive, but you're right to aim high. In the context of the Open, make sure you also master the kipping HSPU. Strict HSPU's can let you down in the blink of an eye when you're in the middle of a metcon.

Cheers mate. 30 will happen! Happy I've got kipping down for in WODs and, like everything, I'm trying to balance practising everything! All part of the challenge.

Annoyed with myself for putting the handle down this morning so I went back after school.

Not bad, went faster in the last 500m. Need to push this out to 5k.

Pull ups x12 strict and some strict press with the bar. Just shoulder health focused really. They feel battered.

This morning

Total time 13:15
HSPU taking some time still. 3 of the sets were unbroken which is progress!
EDIT: Just realised this is a faster pace and for 2 more rounds than the same workout on the 10/9/15. Progress

This morning:
Pratted around doing handstand walks amd box jumps. Timer had broken so had no back up plan.....

Quick erg after school
20 mins r20 1:49.3 pace
Set the clock for 30 mins and went for 8,200 pace. That's the plan soon enough. Next time I'll aim for 22 mins etc. No mad rush!!

20 KB swings (American @24kg)

Did 3 out the 5 sets of double unders unbroken and in less than 30 seconds!
