Ppl (non diabetics) who dable in insulin are moronic IMO.......

Someone pretty close to me used to be Head of Drug Metabolism and Pharmakokinetics (sp?) at a large multinational pharmaceutical company. He had the same sentiments, only his were regarding steroidal PEDS.

I must admit, that I agree with the idea that most drugs if used sensibly and under supervision are going to be fairly safe.

I do also think that the average person hasn't got a f**king clue of the risks and dangers other than what they have read 3rd hand on the internet. And we all know how reliable that is.

I'd say JC was spot on with his comment. The potential risks of using insulin without medical supervision/knowledge are immediate.

I know one person who became diabetic due to using insulin as a PED. He has never had any formal advice on controlling his diabetes and regularly use to go hypo in the gym.

Another person I know fell into a diabetic coma by injecting a few too many IU's and not getting enough carbs into them. Luckily for him he was found soon after he went under.

Insulin and bloody doping are probably 2 of the most risk aspects of performance enhancing drug use, yet everyone seems to focus on the health risks of steroids Confused

I didn't contradict JC's statement in anyway shape or form.

I was merely saying that some people have the same attitude about drugs that according to the internet are 'safe'.

I think f**king around with insulin is barmy. And I am not exactly adverse to doing things that society would consider unsafe...

Never had any diabetes in our family, heart disease/attacks seems to be the main cause of death.

Since I probably won't live that long, you'd think I may as well start slamming a bunch of test and dbols Roll-Eyes

I am utterly convinced that not all drugs increase sporting performance, and some hinder walking and even occasionally crawling... And thinking... And sometimes being able to see things... And sometimes seeing things that aren't real things.
In fact, I would have thought that most drugs should be avoided when partaking in sport.

Oh and if you want to see a performance enhancing drug that works take a look at EPO. Athletes have talked about having to back off from what they were capable of for fear of it being too obvious they were using.

f**k all use to lifters and stupidly dangerous mind you.
