As far as Chambers goes, can they not just not pick him? Do they have to pick him?

Aha... That is a very very good point

The answer is no, the selectors will have autonomy who they wish to represent them

Chambers has done himself a very public good service and demonstrated his good character more than most athletes ever do so this should probably mean he will be a favorable if not controversial selection

I don't think the British public would want him picked.

I think the British public will say "no" in a faux shocked voice while thinking inside "well he is actually one of our better track and field medal chances, so maybe we could turn a blind eye just this once!"

Chambers should go and due to the fact he was chosen months ago to train with relay team

And the percentage of the public that dont want him to go are bone idol muppets who need to look at the bigger picture

Great news BOA lost

I'd beg to differ... But I wouldn't be surprised if you were right, as daft as that is

I enjoy Michael Johnson's commentary on athletics

LOL at the phrase "turn a blind eye" and it's ironic placement

Just LOL

The "blind eye" has been turned time and time again with this now completely abolished, unjustified and unfair BOA rule

Even if it's only a change on paper... It's a victory for equality and fairness

I think if the media left it alone they wouldn't be that bothered either way. The news was leading with "Convicted drugs cheat Dwayne Chambers" on the TV the other day. They seem to love tarring PEDs with the dirty brush.

The media never said much about it leading up tp the other comps, so the public didn't care.

Now its on the news and in the papers they may think they are expected to feel something about it one way or the other, at least until some celebrity has an affair and they can vent their outrage at that instead

It's a results based business, and unless I've missed something he is our best sprinter still?

I think it would be a real shame if they didn't pick him.

Mikey, I too enjoy Michael Johnson's commentary. Always thought that was a great signing for the BBC.
